Create Individual records in a sharepoint list from a date range.

Hi There 

I have created an Overtime Log for my team, and I would like to be able to create individual records from a date range. So for example

• Name: Mr Blah Blah
• Overtime Type: Emergency Support
• Date Range: 01/01/2020 - 07/01/2020 (7 days)
• Overtime Value: £50

  With the information above, I would like to be able to have 7 individual records in my SharePoint list. I am an absolute novice at this, so any help I would appreciate dumbed down lol.

Do you want to create the same number of records based on the time span?

If so ,I suggest you use Timer control.I'v mada test for your reference:

1\Add two datepicker controls(DatePicker1/DatePicker2)

2\Add a timer control

Duration

200 /*loop in 0.2s*/

OnSelelct

Set(TheCount,0);/*TheCount is my custom variable*/
Clear(TheList);/*TheList is my custom collection*/

OnTimerEnd

Collect(TheList,{Name:"Mr Blah Blah",'Overtime Type':"Emergency Support",Date:DateAdd(DatePicker1.SelectedDate,TheCount,Days),'Overtime Value':"50"});Set(TheCount,TheCount+1)

Repeat

DateAdd(DatePicker1.SelectedDate,TheCount,Days)<DatePicker2.SelectedDate

Hi Bof,

Thank you for coming back to me. 

How would this info write to my SharePoint List? Sorry if I am missing something. Would I replace "The List" from your example with my SharePoint List? Then the information from the form, the info can differ from week by week. So again do I replace the Name: "Mr Blah Blah" etc etc with the field from my form?

If you want to change the Name, then you can consider inserting a textinput box control.For example:

Patch(YourSPlist,{Name:TextInputBox.Text,'Overtime Type':"Emergency Support",Date:DateAdd(DatePicker1.SelectedDate,TheCount,Days),'Overtime Value':"50"});Set(TheCount,TheCount+1)

There are several obvious errors, and the system has given hints:

• Mark1:The value of label3_1 can not be Identify.It may be label3_1.Text
• Mark2:'Overtime Value' not exist ,pleace check your data source

In addition,The syntax is not very standard, I suggest you use this :

Patch(SupportOvertime,Defaults(SupportOvertime),{Name:……})

Absolutely appreciate all of your help with this and I am cooking on gas with this now. It working "To a fashion" when I press the button this is adding the entries but more than the date range. And the reason I think is that the OnSelect is set to Set(TheCount,0);Clear(SupportOvertime) and this is bringing back an error. But why would I clear the SharePoint List? Would I not want to clear the form?

I wonder if I could get some assistance with the solution provided here , this was exactly what I was looking for as i am building a Asset Check out App, sending data to SP List, and populating a Calendar Gallery, 
This all seem to work well, in fact, too well,  When I enter my date range in the DatePickers ,  click the timer control to patch the data to the SP List, I get more entries than I was asking for sent to the SP List than the date range was set too,  

So this is what I have set for the Timer Control, as outlined above, 

Duration - 200

On Select - Set(TheCount, 0) 

OnTimerEnd - Instead of Collect, I am using > Patch('Asset Check-Out', {Title:DataCardValue14_1.Text, AssetCheckedOut: CLR_Assets_DrpDn_1.Selected.AssetItem, Location: DataCardValue15_1.Text, CheckOutDate: DateAdd(DatePicker1.SelectedDate , TheCount,Days), CheckOutTime: Dropdown1.Selected.Value, CheckInDate:DatePicker2.SelectedDate,CheckInTime: Dropdown2.Selected.Value }) ; Set(TheCount, TheCount+1)

Repeat - DateAdd(DatePicker1.SelectedDate, TheCount, Days)< DatePicker2.SelectedDate

I have attached the results I get when submitting the form to the SP List, it goes beyond the datepicker range.
