During the task of create a custom table in Create a machine ordering app with Power Apps - Online Workshop  / Create a Dataverse table for the machine ordering app - Online workshop   

the following error appears:

Did you find a solution to this? I can not create any tables at the moment because I always get this error.

Hi there,

This problem occurs due to a naming conflict when trying to create a table with the same name in the same environment. In a given environment, table names must be unique, so it is not possible to have multiple tables with identical names. To address this issue, you can either create a new environment or carefully check if a table with the same name already exists in the current environment.

Unfortunately this seems not to be true. When I try to create a table with a completely random name, I get this error when I try to save:

and when I try again I get the same error as Augusto_Amador

So maybe this is a bug.

i also get this error currently, i tested in two different tenant and i get the same error.. i opened a case with microsoft for this.

If this is the case, you should check the user roles assigned to the current user who is attempting to create the tables. By default, only Dynamics 365 Service Admins, Power Platform Admins in Office 365, System Administrators, and System Customizer roles have the necessary privileges. If there are no roles assigned, you can try assigning them to the user and then retry.

Ok, this seems to have something to do with it - when I go to the pp admin center -> select my environment -> security roles I get a new error :

An Error was encountered. The requested information was not found.

If you have access to Microsoft 365 Global Admin, you can try assigning roles to the user. Follow these steps to assign a service admin role:

1. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center as a global admin.

2. Go to Users > Active users and select a user.

3. Under Account > Roles select Manage roles.

4. Select to expand Show all by category.

5. Under Collaboration select either Dynamics 365 administrator or Power Platform administrator.

6. Select Save changes.

Hi, it's not a problem with roles (i am system administrator), Microsoft confirmed it's an issue affecting multiple users currently.  Seems a problem with the new UI..
