Crisis Communication solution feedback

On Monday afternoon, as news of COVID-19 cases spread globally, we pulled together a team to help customers coordinate their own information sharing and team collaboration in response to evolving conditions in times of crisis. Today, less than 48 hours later, we’re releasing the first version of that solution for any customer organization to quickly implement. You can read more about the solution in our blog post or get the full instructions for how you can implement your own Crisis Communication app here.

We're extremely excited to hear how the community leverages this app, so we've created this thread to hear directly from you. Feel free to share your experience customizing the solution and altering it for your own needs. Over the next few weeks, we'll take your responses to make the app even better and post incremental updates. 😁

Hi @Amrit ,

Any time that you make a connection or trigger change to a flow, you cannot run a test on a previous run's details.

Can you start a test a completely new run?

@Mr-Dang-MSFT , The result which I posted was from complete new run. If I change back to "When a new email arrives (V3)", it works fine. Its just not working with Shared Mailbox.

Do  I need to make any changes in Power apps end? I do receive email in Shared Mailbox, its just flow getting 404.

Any thoughts?

Regards,

Amrit

Hi @Anonymous ,

Not sure if you solved this yet, but if you had re-imported the app to update it, you will need to remove the SharePoint connectors again and re-add your own. That is likely why you're not seeing any content in there.

Also be sure to save and publish once you make the changes.

Hi @Mr-Dang-MSFT ! Yes I had re-imported and removed and re-added the SharePoint connectors, still getting that message. However when I saved and published anyway, all was fine. So the problem was solved! Thanks 🙂

I think the latest version solves the issues below. @Anonymous, are any of the issues below still affecting you?

Hi @Mr-Dang-MSFT !

Indeed most issues were solved with the latest version. Some were not and I encountered some new things:

  • I have the same issue as @DanielaHo with the Crisis Communication News Notification flow. When I import the new version, it says 'The pagination policy of workflow run action 'Get_group_members' of type 'ApiConnection' at line '1' and column '5676' is not valid'
  • When I register my work status and log in afterwards it keeps saying 'Let others know where you are working' - even if I already did, which is confusing
  • I get the impression that the location does not work as I do not see it reflected in my PowerBI report, but I now understand this might have something to do with location not working through Teams app?
  • I can't get the app to work on my iPhone (it does work for my colleagues though). When I open it it says there is no source indicated for the app. Have removed the app several times & cleared the cache.
  • Can we send a notification in Teams when a new message has been posted in Company News without using the Azure AD connection? I've tried but can only send it to 1 person
  • I know we can view Analytics, but does this include the times the app has been launched from Teams or is it just recording browser launches?

Thanks in advance!

Merel

This problem also seems to occur with mobile, at least on iOS PowerApps.

Hi @Mr-Dang-MSFT ,

With colors I mean the background, the icon colors etc --> now we need to change Images in Media section to get own styling while internally we have agreed to use variables OnStart to set styling and reference that variable for color codes.

With the Categories we indeed have expanded the data model of the SharePoint list, but should you include it in the default solution, you would probably do a better job to include a responsive filter category component than us 🙄

Hello,

Is it possible to also change a person's status in MS Teams via the app - to display the selected status for a particular day (in additional to changing my automatic email response)?

@DanielaHo

Has anyone found a resolution for this error yet?  I am running into the same issue on the import of the Crisis Communication News Notification.

Thanks
