Crisis Communication solution feedback

On Monday afternoon, as news of COVID-19 cases spread globally, we pulled together a team to help customers coordinate their own information sharing and team collaboration in response to evolving conditions in times of crisis. Today, less than 48 hours later, we’re releasing the first version of that solution for any customer organization to quickly implement. You can read more about the solution in our blog post or get the full instructions for how you can implement your own Crisis Communication app here.

We're extremely excited to hear how the community leverages this app, so we've created this thread to hear directly from you. Feel free to share your experience customizing the solution and altering it for your own needs. Over the next few weeks, we'll take your responses to make the app even better and post incremental updates. 😁

Hello @joaomoreira ,

That's just how the solution works. Each user should have permissions and access to the various connectors (and the SharePoint site you provisioned!). This is because each user will be consuming those connectors and site information individually. When sharing the App, this is part of the requirements and is actually visible on the Share menu.

You may use the provoded translation XLSX file an add Portuguese labels. All you have to do afterwards is update the translations collection in the PowerApp to use the most recent XLSX you updated.

Best Regards,

João

Hello @tiagobruno ,

Could you please clarify which Flow Premium actions you're referring to?
The standard Crisis Comms solution should not leverage any premium connectors or features, thus you (or any user) shouldn't be prompted to extend the trial.

I suggest you review the installed solution and make sure there are no premium connectors added post-deployment.

Kind Regards,

João

Hi Team,

Whenever we use notification method as PowerApps Push Notification to send notification to larger audience around 20K people. Flow get's successfull, however users don't get notifcations.

Is there any latency in this particular connector or there is any existing API limit like 1 call per second. ?

Thanks,

Ankur

hi @bastosj

I will look further. I thought on of the flows to alert users on Teams (like a notification) was using a premium Connection.

This is not really hard to track since we don't have any other apps and this was our first to one to implement, actually...

Anyway, I am still getting my head around on the Power Platform, and how it works maybe I'm missing something.

But since we only have one and the users are being prompted to extend the trial when logging in, I am confused...

Tiago

Hi @bastosj

I think I know why my users are getting the 'update your trial' message when using the Crisis Comm app:

It's not when they use the Crisis Comm App...

Its when they use the Crisis Comm Admin App which uses Common Data Services which we don't have since it is not included in our Office365 subscription.

Microsoft offers the Crisis Comm App free, bundled with a Admin app to manage the content which uses a feature that is paid.

Am I correct?

Tiago

Hi,

I need your orientatión, because i have a problem in particular point:

When I like choose in the pick list admin Settings *Notification Method this not showme the 3 options and this does not allow me to continue moving forward.

Could you help me with options that can solve me?

Hey,

I noticed that the dates appearing in the emails and automatic notifications appear in American format for some people, and Australian format for others. I want it to be Australian format.... however, the fact that people see different formats makes me wonder if the format is defined elsewhere.

Any tips on how to 'hardcode' the date format for this app please?

Thanks in advance 💙

Hello I did this but my flow is not working. i´m getting this messege.

I did it as described in the tutorial. The only list that installs is CI_configAdminSetup.
The detail of the error message gives ' BadGateway '

Thank you for helping

Is there a way that we can extract the list of employees who didn't share their working status ?

Thanks!
