Customising SharePoint list form issues

I have customised a SharePoint list form using Powerapps. In this form, I want users to add 'reviews', basically another set of fields/columns underneath the original form. I have hidden the 'review' using a variable against a selected button 'Add Review'.
All works fine so far, the empty fields show when the button is selected.

The issue I am having is after the form has been submitted, when viewing the form, all non visible 'reviews' are now showing, so it looks like all variables are set to true when viewing a list item.

So I set all variables to false in the Screen.OnVisible.

Issue with that is, now when viewing a list item with reviews in, it won't show the reviews as they are hidden.

Hopefully this makes sense, if I'm doing this all wrong then would appreciate direction in the correct way.

I'm not sure I understand correctly, perhaps you can clarify;

• Are you using two forms or one?  (i.e. an Edit form and a Display Form - or just an Edit Form?)
• What do you mean by 'viewing the form' after it has been submitted?

Can you provide some screenshots of the formulas and screen to provide additional context?

Just one Edit form, as default when customizing a SharePoint form in PowerApps, this is where I may be going wrong?

Just opening a submitted item in the SharePoint List. I.e. opening the form in DisplayMode.View

I'd agree - I usually create apps from scratch, so hardly ever use the custom forms designer to be honest.

But yes, the default form seems to be edit, so it makes sense to split them out.

I'm not sure of your use case, but you may also try select "Create an App" instead of "Customize Forms" from the PowerApp dropdown menu on the SharePoint list - it will create a three-page default app with Gallery, Display and Edit forms which you can edit easily enough...but then I hardly ever use those either so best to play around a bit and see what suits you
