Hi I am createing attendance management screen and have query.
There is gallery and when I push save button the data is saved in collection.
Now the issue is when I push save button, the data input in dropdown is reset when there are many choices. (24 choices.)
The phenomenon is as follows.
1. I input 08:30 ~ 09:45 in dropbox, and push Save button.
Name of Textbox is WorkingHourFrom, WorkingMinuteFrom, WorkingHourTo, WorkingMinuteTo
2. The data of WorkingHourFrom, WorkingHourTo, is reset to 00, while WorkingMinuteFrom, WorkingMinuteTo remains same.
The data is saved to gallery properlly.
Could someone tell me about this?
FYI, I would like to post code for onSelect of Save Button.
Patch(
DetailCol,
ThisItem,
{
WorkingDay: WorkingDay.SelectedDate,
Employee:ThisItem.Employee,
ProjectName:ThisItem.ProjectName,
WorkingHourFrom: Value(WorkingHourFrom.SelectedText.Value),
WorkingMinuteFrom: Value(WorkingMinuteFrom.SelectedText.Value),
WorkingHourTo: Value(WorkingHourTo.SelectedText.Value),
WorkingMinuteTo: Value(WorkingMinuteTo.SelectedText.Value),
Note: Note.Text,
saveBtn: false
}
);

Hi @RyoIshi731 ,
I am assuming the Items of the gallery are directly on the Collection DetailCol - please confirm this.
Assuming you are using SharePoint, try this for Patching
Patch(
DetailCol,
{ID:ThisItem.ID},
{
WorkingDay: WorkingDay.SelectedDate,
Employee:ThisItem.Employee,
ProjectName:ThisItem.ProjectName,
WorkingHourFrom: Value(WorkingHourFrom.Selected.Value),
WorkingMinuteFrom: Value(WorkingMinuteFrom.Selected.Value),
WorkingHourTo: Value(WorkingHourTo.Selected.Value),
WorkingMinuteTo: Value(WorkingMinuteTo.Selected.Value),
Note: Note.Text,
saveBtn: false
}
);
Also try changing the Default of the drop-down to
Text(ThisItem.WorkingHourFrom,"00")
Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

Thank you so much.
I tried only this and it seems to be solved.
Text(ThisItem.WorkingHourFrom,"00")
Yes, I am using Sharepoint List. However the gallery data source and destination is collection and doesn't have ID. When I push RegisterAll Button, data is saved in SharePoint.
I tried your source code, however I got error.
Hi,
I am surprised they both did not reset - any unbound (not defaulted to a list or collection field that get changed with the value on update) will reset to its Default value when any code is run from inside the gallery. What are the Items of the gallery sand the Default of your drop-downs?
@WarrenBelz Thank you sir as always.
I am also surprised, sometimes the dropdown value becomes 15 or 13, I don't know the logic.
Let me answer your question.
The default is ThisItem.WorkingHourFrom
And after pushing save button I checked the contents of collection, the value is 08, but display 00.
Regards

Go back to ThisItem - I was assuming you had collected from a SharePoint list and the ID was in the collection.
May I ask other things?
When I push save button, 2 fields(ProjectName / Employee) are not saved in collections.
Do you have some idea?
Information of Project Name
Information of Employee Name.
OnSelect contents for save button.
Patch(
DetailCol,
ThisItem,
{
WorkingDay: WorkingDay.SelectedDate,
Employee:ThisItem.Employee,
ProjectName:ThisItem.ProjectName,
WorkingHourFrom: Value(WorkingHourFrom.SelectedText.Value),

WorkingHourTo: Value(WorkingHourTo.SelectedText.Value),
WorkingMinuteTo: Value(WorkingMinuteTo.SelectedText.Value),

saveBtn: false
}
);
You are saving the fields to themselves, so it will not update from the gallery input
Employee:ThisItem.Employee,
ProjectName:ThisItem.ProjectName
you need to refer to the output of the controls in the gallery
ProjectName:ProjectName.Selected.xxxx
Employee:Employee.Text
where xxxx is the valid output of the drop down.
One thing to note - do not name your controls the same name as your fields as this can cause ambiguity.

@WarrenBelz Thank you so much.
I followed your guidance. However error happens.
Error message for Employee
Error message for ProjectName
Firstly, I cannot see you data or structure, so have to rely on you a bit to understand it. From what I can see there are two things - if Project is a Choice field
ProjectName:{Value:ProjectName.Selected.ProjectName}
and you have mis-spelt Employee.Text
