Data table field list freezes after selecting each field

Every time I create a data table and try to select the fields to be displayed, the field list gets stuck after I select each field.  I have to close the app and reopen it before I can add the next field - at which point it gets stuck again.  I can still edit the rest of the app (screens, controls, etc); it only seems to affect the field list for the data table.   Is it a known issue?

Example: I created this table and set the data source as the collection "Tasks".  The collection has three columns (Name, URL, Description) and about 7 rows of test data.  In this screenshot, Name was already selected and I clicked to add URL.  The column was added to the table as expected, but those four little dots just keep a-spinnin' in the middle of the field list, and everything remains greyed out.  There's no error message or visible indication that the fault lies with me (I am a novice, so I didn't immediately rule out user error, but I can't find any documentation to suggest I'm doing it wrong!)

Just tested with both connecting to a Collection and a SharePoint list and I didn't run into any issues...

Is this for a standalone app or when editing a SharePoint form?

Thanks for replying.  It's a standalone app. 

I guess it isn't a common problem - searching this forum and Google didn't throw up any useful results.  I'll ask some colleagues to check tomorrow to see if it might be a tenant/network thing.

Having the same problem.  I'm on step 20 in the Power Apps Training App (PATApp) which introduces the use of the DataTable.  I've connected to the Contacts Excel data source as instructed and selected a field.  (I chose FullName.)  A lone FullName column appears in the DataTable, but the Data pane containing the Fields list becomes disabled and no additional fields can be selected.

I've had a reply to my support ticket.  I discovered that this error wasn't occurring when I created a new canvas app from scratch, it was only on an app I had adapted from a template.

The support engineer said:

"The reason you experienced the error with the Live app is because the DataTable control is now a Preview feature and is yet to be activated from the application settings. The application was trying to use an older feature of the control, hence the unresponsiveness when adding a new field."

The solution was to go into the app settings for the 'old' app, go to Upcoming Features, and toggle on Enable Improved data table control selection and value property. 

Now when I add a data table in that app, it automatically picks up the expected columns from my SharePoint list and allows me to add/remove columns.
