Deeplink in Teams App No Longer Working

Hi,

Not sure if there has been an update but for some reason when using the "msteams://teams.microsoft.com/l/chat" link in a power app in team it no longer opens a chat to the specific person, it pops up a window that disappears no errors anywhere all my users are reporting the same issue and it recreates it when in the power apps builder for team the below code is what I have in place that was working until recently. using the https:// link does seem to work but opens a browser page and then makes the user open teams which opens a new chat but doesn't pass the user you want to chat to details in even if i hard code the link with a user email still doesn't work, which isn't a great user experience. is anyone else seeing the same issues? I'm wondering if it's related to the new team release coming. : 

Further details - app is a canvas app built in Powerapps for Teams, using dataverse for teams as the back end, app is pushed to all users as a Teams app its not added to a channel or anything like that.

I have just started getting the same behaviour. I was linking from PowerApps embedded in teams to a PowerBI report embedded in teams, used to work, now doesn't. If I link to https:// works fine (except of course going to a browser and then back to teams), msteams:// pops up a window that disappears but it does nothing. We can't be the only ones having this issue.

I'm glad this isn't just me I thought I was going mad with my code. I've tried some other things this morning and still no joy. Using the Who App in teams and clicking the open chat button does work, but where it used to open the chat bar in the same window its now opening a pop out chat, i'm wondering if its something to do with how teams windows work now and an update has broken that deeplinking with in Teams. I've asked around a few other forums and no replies, so might have to open a support ticket with Microsoft

Just another update i've opened Team in a browser and ran my app in there, and links again don't work correctly they still take you out of teams to another tab and then you either open teams or if you continue to use the web app it does then goto the chat but in another window. Some strange behavior going on

Exact same behaviour on our app for opening a chat with support. flashes an empty window momentarily and then nothing. Will update here if I find a solution.

Same behavior.  Strangely, link icons have disappeared from out canvas app with no mod history.

No updates from my side, but it seems native teams apps like Who the deeplinking working if you click open chat it works. I tried to inspect the code via browser but can't see anything.

This issue appears to have been resolved.  The functionality has returned in my Apps.

l still have the issue. Deeplinks via PowerBI take 2-3 mins to bring up a record.  Whereas in the APp itself it works as normal.  I think its a Microsoft issue, seen another thread on this.

No change for me I'm afraid still the same issue, did you have update the app or anything?

No changes were necessary - the functionality rerturned automagically.  I suspect there is a rollout process where I received the fix already but other have not.  Just a guess, so keep an eye on the boards...
