Default Sorting with Blank Field

Hello, I'm trying to apply default sorting based on an empty field.

I want every row that has a specific field as blank to send it on the bottom. This is the work around I came up with.

The idea is the "submitted rows" are on the bottom and the "Submit" on top.

This is the code I've tried:

You can't do it the way you are thinking.    I worked with it this morning to find a simple way to accomplish what you are trying to do.

Here is what I came up with.   You can replace the Sort, with SortByColumns and add the other columns you need to sort by. 

This adds a column and sets the value based on whether a specific column has data or not.  Then it sorts by that column.

Sort(AddColumns(YourSharePointList, "BlankSort", If(!IsBlank(Dropdown.Value), 0, 9999)), BlankSort, Ascending)

I don't want to create a new column, I already have a column that it gets a value when the "Submit" button is pressed. Until then it remains blank. 

The point is to filter the logged in user's submissions and get the "Submit" lines always on top.

I understood the point.  Unfortunately sort doesn't work the way you want it to when it comes to blank lines.  There may be another possible solution.   In your image it appears that the submit button or label is disabled after the item is submitted, is that correct?    You are using a formula in the DisplayMode property to set it to displayMode.disabled?

Correct, this is the code, it's the same business, if the field is not blank then it's disabled.

What I was thinking of won't work for your situation.  Since you don't want to add a new column, the only other solution I could provide would be for your blank column to actually have a value of 0.    Sort doesn't work with blank fields, but it does work with numbers.    

If you start with all of those fields having 0 as the default value and sort descending on that field, as your users enter and submit their items the zero value items will stay at the top of the list.

It's a great work-around, but the table field is set to "date". It cannot get numbers without date format.

I'm afraid you are back to adding a column.  If you do it the way I suggested, it only adds it for use while using the app.  It doesn't add it to your data source.

Okay let's try it, how will I use it with my filter?

the table expenses, is not a sharepoint list but a dataverse table.
