Delegation Warning with Filter

I'm working on a PowerApp & was hoping I could get some advice. The app will be used to edit items in a SP List by typically 2 users, most likely at the same time (editing different fields though). The edits are done using an editable grid that patches the SP List on change. I'm getting delegation warnings, and filtering the list based on a gallery selection (SP List Item) that has a field with the folder path, it uses that value to filter the list that's being edited.

My question: Would loading the SP List (the one who's data is in the editable grid) into a collection, and then patching the changes be more efficient? Any ideas/guidance you might have would be very much appreciated.

Can you please share your Filter formula here and explain the field types its filtering against in each case?

Yes, thank you for the quick reply. 

Filter('SharePointList_2','Folder path' = DataCardValue2.Text)

• SharePointList_1 = a list of customers with basic information about the customer, each customer is an item in this list
• SharePointList_2 = a list containing a folder for each customer listed in SharePointList_1, with 40-50 items per folder
• DataCardValue2.Text = a single line text field in SharePointList_1 that contains the customers folder path, the location is relative to SharePointList_2

Ah, ok I see now - 'Folder path' is actually a special/complex column created by SharePoint and not technically text although it presents as text - as such you cannot delegate against it.

What you can do (and what I would suggest) is to have a text column added to your list called 'FolderPathText' and then a Power Automate flow that triggers 'when an item is created' and it writes the text value of folder path to this new column -  this will allow you to filter against the new text column without any delegation warnings.
