Delete record from SP list and then navigate to different screen

First, im very new to Power Apps, so excuse me if I use the wrong names/terms or are not clear in my explanation. I have a notification page with a Gallery, that shows the title and a short recap of the full notification. When somone clicks on the notification, they will go the another screen with the full message that is shown by a form. On this page, i have a delete button/icon.

When someone click on this button, it will delete the active notification/record, i did this with the OnSelect function: RemoveIf(Notifications; 'Id (ID)' = galleryNotifications.Select.'Id (ID)')

Notifications is the datasource (SharePoint List) and gallNotifications is the gallery on the Notifications page. The delete button/icon is on the NotificationsExtended screen outside the form formNotification.

Although this seem to work to delete only the selected record, it will stay in the same screen and there will be a message that theres no record to display, so instead I would like people to be forwarded back to the screen with all the notifications but it seems like every example i find doesnt work.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

It would be very awsome if people also see the green status bar on top that deleting the record was succesfull, but thats a bonus.

@JustOscar

It may be language dependent.  In some countries ";;" is required instead of a single ";"

See:   https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-apps/maker/canvas-apps/global-apps  for the reason under the Formula separators and chaining operators

In that case for the Gallery OnSelect:

Set(vrecord, ThisItem);;
Navigate(yourformscreen)

For the delete icon on the form screen:

Remove(Notifications, vrecord);;
If(IsEmpty(Errors(Notifications, vrecord)), Notify("Removed!",Success);;
Back()

Hey @JustOscar ,

So for this after you delete your record you need to refresh your datasource and nvagate back to your initial screen using the Refresh(YOUR_DATA_SOURCE_NAME);Navigate(PREVIOUS_SCREEN_NAME)

Thanks for you response @alaabitar , I have tried this before, but then without the Refresh part. It seems like im doing something wrong when i add this part. What I have tried:

RemoveIf(Notifications; 'Id (ID)' = galleryNotifications.Select.'Id (ID)')

Refresh(Notifications);Navigate(Notifications_Overview)

The above will mark Refresh and says it`s expecting an operator (+, * or &) but that I tried and then also the top part will get all red.

RemoveIf(Notifications; 'Id (ID)' = galleryNotifications.Select.'Id (ID)');

Refresh(Notifications);Navigate(Notifications_Overview)

If I try it like the above, it will say the ; is unexpected. I have no idea how to combine those functions (are those called functions?).

@JustOscar

I think you are making it more complicated than it needs to be.

In the Gallery OnSelect property:

Set(vrecord, ThisItem);
Navigate(yourformscreen)

For the delete icon on the form screen:

Remove(Notifications, vrecord);
If(IsEmpty(Errors(Notifications, vrecord)), Notify("Removed!",Success);
Back()

Also have an arrow icon "<" with its OnSelect property: Back()

on the form screen so the user can go back to the gallery screen without removing the record.

Thanks for your help @Drrickryp

It seems easier indeed, but still I cannot manage to get it to work. It deletes the right record perfectly when I use this:
Remove(Notifications, vrecord)

But as soon as I add the ; at the end, it`s marked red. Also when I add the rest of the code, all the text stay black and the ; stays marked red. It gives me this error: Unexpected charactersCharacters are used in the formula in an unexpected way.

This is basically the same issue that I had with the first solution that didnt work.

@Drrickryp Something so small that can make me struggle for so long, thanks alot for the help! I just tried the first code I tried that did`nt work, same solution, using ;; instead of ;. Ill stick with your code though, seems better/cleaner! Thanks again!
