Disable Button on Data verse Choice column - Expected Enum Value

Thought this would be simple but cant seem to find the right syntax.

I have a canvas app where its form brings in the properties of a dynamics 365 record.

One of the columns is of choice type, called TaskType.

I have a button outside of the form, (Validate Policy References) which I want to enable , when the choice column has a value of "Policy" or its underlying value of 527350000.

I have renamed the data card of the choice column to TaskType (see screenshot) and tried the following syntax on the display property of the button.

If(TaskType.Selected.Value = 527350000,true,false)

If(TaskType.Selected.Value = "Policy",true,false)

If(TaskType.SelectedItems.Value = 527350000,true,false)

If(TaskType.SelectedItems.Value = "Policy",true,false)

but I'm getting the error,  'Expected Enum value.'

I'm wonder if I need to use Choices?

Something like:

If(Choices('Task Type (Policy_bind_tasks)'.Policy....not sure what to put next?

Hi @Darren137227 

You should be able to resolve this by referencing your TaskType enumeration, like so:

If(cboTaskType.Selected.Value = TaskType.Policy,
   true,false
)

 What I would suggest here is that you rename your dropdown from TaskType to cboTaskType, to avoid a naming conflict between the control and the enum.

Update your answer timl so your syntax has selected.value in it and I'll mark your answer as solution as it was your syntax that set me on the right path. Thanks so much for your help.
