Display Form shows more text

I'm working on a powerapp where I use forms to edit and show data from a sharepointlist. Some of the fields are selectable and some are text inputs. My problem is that the selectables seems to show a more option to them even though it is only possible to select one option.

Anyone know why this is happening and know how to handle it?

Hello,

I did not find a solution for how to remove it when using ComboBox in DisplayMode.

However, I now tend to do either of the two following:

Approach 1: Hiding the ComboBox and show selected value in label or Html text

The ComboBox will then use the following:

Visible: false
Height: If(Self.Visible, 60, 0)

Add a label/html text with the following:

Text: ComboBox.Selected.Value

Approach 2: Remove the ComboBox as it's a DisplayForm and the value wont be changed here

When removing the ComboBox, the update section of the card needs to be changed as follows:'

Update: Self.Default

Add a label/html text with the following:

Text: ThisItem.Column.Value

This way you bypass the problem, and you could also choose to make the labels/html text use auto height.

Hope this is of any use for you 🙂

I believe you have to show the screenshot again. Where are the selectables . Are they Dropdowns?

Hi @eka24 yeah the fields which have these problems are selected through a dropdown or by the created by field.

This is how my app is built up, the user fills a form which contains some dropdowns and text fields which they have to fill. Then they can select the item from a list and see those details which they filled out in the edit form.
When showing the detail form each of the selected items from the dropdowns show a more text which disappears if you click it, since it is not more to show. This more text is also shown for the field in sharepoint showing the "created by" field.

Hi@TommySandtorv,

Based on the issue that you mentioned, do you want to make the "More" text disappear?

Considering that you have a SharePoint list as a data source, please make sure that you have disabled the option as below:

And in case, make “Allow multiple selections” OFF as below:

Hi @v-qiaqi-msft

Yeah I want the "more" part to not show. All of the dropdown fields have that option turned off. The weird thing is that on an earlier version of the app, with the exact layout just fewer fields in the form, this problem was not there, and the text goes away if I go to another screen and then back to the display screen.

Hi@TommySandtorv,

Have you solved your issue?

Hi TommySandtorv,

Were you able to resolve this issue? I'm experiencing the same exact issue and can't seem to find a solution.

If by any chance you've resolved this please share your steps, I've got an app that I need to demo in a few days so it's kind of time sensitive.

Thank you in advance.
