Display gallery for certain conditions

Hi,

so I have a gallery on a page that I want to only display for People who have access to more than one Department.

so currently, there is a SP list called that has departments and sub departments, and a list of people who are assigned to each.

I only need the gallery to display when the person is listed for more than one department. So I need help writing a statement (not sure how to go about it) that only displays the gallery if they are assigned to two or more departments in the list. 

There currently is a variable that captures the person’s email in the app itself, this is called varEmail. I think this is how you could tie together the list and the app, to see which emails of the users have multiple departments on the SP list.

Can you take a screenshot of your sharepoint list Users Field to determine the type ? 

Also a screenshot of the error you are getting. 

Have you changed your ListName here ? CountRows(Filter(ListName, Users.Email = User().Email)) > 1

Before you mentioned email, and now "users". So users is the field you are filtering on, not email? Users is plural, so this is a multi-select person field? If so:

CountRows(Filter(sharepointlist,User().Email in  Users.Email)) > 1

Remember, data types matter a lot. A different data type will often change the syntax or functions involved.

That worked and is heading in the right direction.

So basically, I can be (I am testing, so I am a user myself) assigned to one department, and within that department has multiple sub departments. 

This is a mockup of what it looks like (I can't share for confidentiality). 

What I need to only see is if a user is connected to > 1 DEPARTMENT only, whereas right now I believe the code is just checking to see if the email is entered more than once across every single row. I just need to check if their username/email is present in one of more departments. And if they are present in more than once, then the gallery should be displayed. if they are only assigned to one or less, the gallery should be hidden.

Yes, users is a multi-select person field

Ok, so if we filter to get only rows with the correct user (User() in users), that's the list of subdepartments. We could then get a distinct list of departments, and count those rows. 

CountRows(Distinct(Filter(mylist,User().Email in Users.Email),Department))

If department is a choice or lookup, you'll of course need Department.Value. And, of course, this gets used for the condition, so check to see if the countrows > 1.
