Hello guys,

I am working on login and logout app for study.
I have this problem that If I logout on my app, I could select any values on my dropdown without having to log in.

So just wanted some help to you guys on how can I fix this problem that If I logout on my app, I should not able to select anything on my dropdown without logging in first.

What is your login process that you expect not to be able to see things unless authenticated?

The process I need is that for example I have 4 values on my dropdown,
I have the Login, Logout, Going on Break, Coming Back From Break, because on my case when I log out, I can still choose going on break or coming back on break. So the process I need is when I log out I shouldn't be able to choose going on break or coming back on break without logging in first.

As you can understand, the terms login and logout have a different meaning in systems like Power Apps.

What I have below is not straight-forward and seems to work OK, but I will leave you with the logic to sort.

So now the settings. I will use my control names here - change to yours as suits.

I firstly have a Text Input named StatusText, which is displayed in DisplayMode.View, which you can see above the drop-down. This is the key reference as you cannot make a control refer to itself (it forms a circular reference like Excel).

I have a DropDown called StatusChoose which you see below this and the OnChange of this

Set(vStatus, StatusChoose.Selected.Value);
Reset(StatusText)

Now the Items of StatusChoose

Switch(
   StatusText.Text,
   "Login",
   ["","Logout", "Going on Break"],
   "Going on Break",
   ["","Logout","Coming Back From Break"],
   "Coming Back From Break",
   ["","Logout","Going on Break"],
   "Logout",
   ["","Login"]
)

I will leave you to sort the logic, but the blank entry at the start is essential to trigger the OnChange event.

Now the Default of StatusText

vStatus

Lastly, you need to set the default when the screen is opened in case there is no value set yet (when the user first opens it) so on the Screen OnVisible put

   Set(vStatus,"Logoff");
   Reset(StatusText)
)

I have used a Global Variable in this to allow for changing screens during the process.

What I need right now is on how can I see the switch items like what you did because I was using a form here and the dropdown I have is based on the Choice field on my SP List.
