Dropdown list filter

Hello, 

I'm trying to get a previously saved value (in yellow in the picture) in a dropdown list after selecting a record in a Gallery object. A SharePoint list is the back end. I'm not using a Form to handle a record. 

In the choices, I only want current active employe. But like in the exemple, if the employe is not active anymore, past records must must continue do display ist name. What to change in the code? 

I see the value is there in the default option, but it doesn't show up.

With a Drop Down control, you can't display an option that is not in the items, but with a Combo Box you can. For instance in the below, the Items property is set to ComboBoxSample, which means there are 15 items with values from "Item 1" through "Item 15" in the Value1 column:

When setting the DefaultSelectedItems property to a value for the Value1 column that doesn't exist in the Items, it still appears :

Even better, the value van be referenced via the ComboBox.Selected property:

Thanks for the help 🙂, but how do you solve the problem to retrieve the choice saved in the record in a past activity. And that choice doesn't appear in the list because the profil of that persone is no longer active.  

That's where I fall in a dead end, event with a combobox. I put the same code in the Default property to retrieve the data and I get an error. 

Exemple with Combobox:

The goal is, to see the value "Brochu, Viviane" that I saved some months ago in the SharePoint list when I want to see the details of that record.

Hi @PierreCA ,

Try setting the DefaultSelectedItems property (not Default) to:

{Value: varListeCommunication.employeResultat}

This turns the value into an object with a single key-value-pair which can be handled by the Combo box.
