Hi there!
I would like to create a combo box that is dependent on another combo box (all data from a Sharepoint List)
(Example: 1 combo box says, "Region" and has 4 choices/drop downs, the other combo box says, "Country/Market" and has 10 choices/dropdowns)
My goal is that when users select 1 option in the "Region" combo box, a specific set of dropdowns will show in the "Country/Market" box when they click that.
I tried watching a few videos to help but I'm stuck on where I'm going wrong for the formula below:
"If(
DataCardValue14.Selected.Value = 'column name or combo box formula in 'Items" category. 'north america)
Table({Value: 'not sure what goes here'. 'Canada}),
Table({Value: 'not sure what goes here'. 'United States'}),
*Text in blue is suppose to be clicked on after you input the specific column name and is not typed in (red text)
Blue Text: Dropdown options from Region column
Green Text: Dropdown options from Country/Market column
My question is what exactly is the data I'm inputting into the red text areas? I've tried to use the Sharepoint list column labels but it's coming as an error. Please help, thank you.

Hi @SmartUser222_,
Do you have configured relationship between Region and Country in your list as below?
Region | Country |
north america | Canada |
north america | United States |
east asia | China |
north america | Panama |
Actually, if you have replationship as above, we could configure the Region Items as
Distinct(list,Region)
For Country ComboBox, we could set items
Filter(list,Region=Region_combo.Selected.Value).Country
The logic you provide is not the way we used to working with relational data.

Hi Qi,
Thanks for your response!
Should I show the configured relationship between Region and Country in an excel sheet or another Sharepoint List?
I realized that the formula I sent in my question helps me avoid using an excel sheet/another sharepoint list and may be an easier alternative, however, I'm confused on where my formula is going wrong.
Also, for your formulas, would this be set in properties as "DefaultedSetItems" and that formula is for the specific combo boxes?
Please clarify, thank you so much!
Hi @SmartUser222_,
You are using hard code to configure the relationship, which is doable, however, it is not that automated😂.
The formula I provided is for Items property of ComboBox, this is not for DefaultedSetItems property because each region has multi countries, which needs uses to select a special one.
Oh okay, makes sense!
I understand the formulas, thank you! You previously asked if I have configured relationship between Region and Country in your list. I only have a sharepoint list which is like a tracker; it shows the submitted tickets which users fill out from my powerapps.
Should I show the configured relationship between Region and Country in an excel sheet or another Sharepoint List? Or the same sharepoint list?
