I want to have a form which I want some dynamic controls as sometimes I just need information on 1 record and sometimes up to 10:

I am currently using this Youtube tutorial to come up with my dynamic controls which involves a vertical gallery and a collection. I have a button on the control that updates the collection LineNbr to +1.

Item on the gallery is set as the collection: ShiftColleagues

I have a few issues I want to try an iron out but am struggling:

• How do I set it up as a default of 2/3/4 - I have set the on visible LineNbr: 2
• How disable the add button when I get to 10 rows. How do I count a collection rows and do an IF statement on it?
• How do I set the default options for the first row, second row, third row etc - Is this possible?

Hi @moosebot88 ,

The point is, a Gallery control will display as many lines as records of it Items (data table). If you would like the Gallery has any number of lines, you need to create/initialize the collection with the same number of records:

Set(TotLines,2);
//The number will based on the number of default rows you need.
Clear(ShiftColleagues);ForAll(Sequence(LineNbr),Collect(hiftColleagues,{LineNbr:ThisRecord.Value}))

However, this will refresh the whole collection and clear all the inputs. So, this formula should only append OnVisible of the Screen to initialize the default lines in the collection and Gallery. OnSelect of Add button will be the same as in the video.

To disable the add button, you can get help from the variable Totlines. If the variable reaches 10, the button will get disabled via DisplayMode property:

If(TotLines <= 9, DisplayMode.Edit, DisplayMode.Disabled)

To set default values of records, you need to set default values in the collection. OnSelect of Add button:

Set(TotLines,TotLines+1);Collect(ShiftColleagues,{LineNbr:TotLines, Value1:"ABC", Value2:"DEF"})

Now you will add lines with same Value1 column value "ABC" and Value2 column value "DEF" in the respective Text Input boxes of each line. For the same reason, if you need the initial collection in the Gallery has default values, the default values need to be set in the first formula of creating this collection.
