Edit Form - Drop Down - Change ID in Table X based on Values in Table Y - Default Values

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums and excited to get this Power App working. Please excuse me if this question exists elsewhere, I did some browsing but could not find the exact solution, especially within an Edit Form as this differs a bit from the standard Drop Down (EG. Items doesn't display in 'Advanced' section).

I've got a Power App where a User selects a Team which populates an Edit Form containing several Team Properties relevant to the Team the User selected. I can currently get my Edit Form to display the appropriate values from the Selected Team's Row but the issue is my Team table contains mostly IDs that link to values in other Tables.

For example, the Column TeamTypeID exists in the M_Team table, which is linked to TeamTypeID within Lkp_TeamType table. The Lkp_TeamType table contains values that I'd like to be displayed within the Edit Form. So instead of a user seeing "10001" as TeamTypeID, they instead see "Sales" from TeamTypeName within the Lkp_TeamType Table. (illustration below)

M_Team Table:

TeamName	TeamTypeID
TeamA	10001
TeamB	10002
TeamC	10001

Lkp_TeamType Table:

TeamTypeName	TeamTypeID
Sales	10001
Non-Sales	10002

Additionally, I need the selections within the Edit Form's TeamType Drop Down to be the different TeamTypeName values within the Lkp_TeamType table. EG. "Sales" and "Non-Sales".

So when a user selects "TeamA" and the Edit Form populates, I'd like the Drop Down to automatically display "Sales" (since TeamA has TeamTypeID = "10001" which links to "Sales" within the Lkp_TeamType table) with the option to select "Sales" or "Non-Sales" (plus any other TeamTypeNames within the Lkp_TeamType table) in the Drop Down. If a user wanted to change to "Non-Sales", for example, I'd need the TeamTypeID within the M_Team table to change to "10002".

Please let me know if anything is unclear. Really looking forward to getting this working for my Team & appreciate the support here.

Dropdown controls contain the entire record for the Item selected n its window, however, any of the fields in the record can be displayed in the window of the dropdown by selecting it and then using the Value dropdown on the right side of the screen to choose the field to show in the window.

This doesn't address any of the functionality I presented that is required for this problem to be solved. I know how to incorporate a Drop Down and have the fields for selection be from the Lkp_TeamType table pointing to the TeamTypeName values.

The problem with adding this feature alone is:

1) it isn't associated with my Edit Form's previously selected Team Value;

2) therefore, it doesn't contain a default value (which aligns with a selected Team); and

3) if I go through the "Depends On..." selection for the Drop Down, that brings a default value but only allows the "Sales" item to be displayed (using TeamA as an example) in the drop down selection, and none of the other fields such as "Non Sales" to be selected (at least by default these values aren't displayed for selection. If there is a way to modify the list items that appear (within the Edit Form and not a standard Drop Down) that information would be appreciated).

FYI - This worked in case anyone else has a similar ask in the future.

1. Set the (TeamType) DropDown Titled 'DataCardValue13' Items to: 

ShowColumns(Lkp_TeamType, "TeamTypeName", "TeamTypeID")

(This shows all TeamTypeName values within Lkp_TeamType in the Drop Down)

2. Default to:

LookUp(Lkp_TeamType, TeamTypeID = ThisItem.TeamTypeID, TeamTypeName)

(This assigns the Default Value (EG. "Sales" for Team with TeamTypeID of 10001) based on the Team selected)

3. Set the Card's TeamTypeID_DataCard5 Update to:

DataCardValue13.Selected.TeamTypeID

(This ensures that  TeamTypeID is being placed into M_Team since M_Team only captures TeamTypeID and not TeamTypeName)
