Unable to process template language expressions for action 'Condition' at line '0' and column '0': 'The template language function 'greaterOrEquals' expects two parameter of matching types. The function was invoked with values of type 'String' and 'Integer' that do not match.'.

I get this error concerning this

SPSDEV22_0-1695674856954.png

Boxed in Red Column is a Calculated column in SharePoint list.  I have the data being saved a Single line of Text. I have also tried Number. I get the same error:
values of type 'String' and 'Integer' that do not match.'.

how can I get when the value is -5 or greater to be used to trigger the flow?

Hi

Here is what you do. You need to convert the string to a number. Since the Column is a string format change the output to int as below

Step 1. Hover over the Days Su one you have. Type it into Notepad. Here is my example

FLMike_3-1695675811004.png

Step 2: what the popup code in Notepad

Step 3. Delete the Condition from the Box so its empty

FLMike_4-1695675874674.png

Step 4. in the code you wrote in NotePad, surround it with int() like this int(mytypedinstuff)

int(variables("mystuff"))

Step 5. Go back to the Condition and when you click in it and the Dynamic Windows comes up, click the Expression tab, Paste that line in and click OK

Feel free to post back and sometimes it can take a couple of tries to get it pasted correctly.

Cheers

Hi @SPS-DEV-22 ,

SharePoint calculated columns do not "play well" with Power Platform functions and really should be avoided except in the SharePoint interface itself. To test if this is the issue, put in a number column with the same value (you can do the calculation in Power Apps and populate it) and see if that works in the Flow as you require.

Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

what do I remove from this:

@triggerOutputs()?['body/Days_x0020_Supervisor_x0020_Has_']

*****************************************************************************************************
I get this error:
Unable to process template language expressions for action 'Condition' at line '0' and column '0': 'The template language function 'int' was invoked with a parameter that is not valid. The value cannot be converted to the target type.'.

 this is what I have:
int('Days_x0020_Supervisor_x0020_Has_')

Can you show me your trigger? Are you opening the Excel file based on a Trigger (like Created/Modified)? Or are you doing list Rows on the Table data?

it is a Sharepoint list column

Ok, I copied the number  5 etc. to another column I just created.

the sharePoint list column is a single line of text

the Power Automate  only likes the expression "equal to"

if I try the equal to or greater than I get the same error.

I need to have it send the email message if the number is 5 or more.

here is the flow:

SPSDEV22_0-1695731862709.png

that is it, send a email when things are 5 days old or older in the SharePoint list.

for your step 1

SPSDEV22_1-1695732063869.png

How would I write this into the int( )

Maybe I'm going about this the wrong way..

I do have a date column called date sent to supervisor and if it is not approved +5 from there, then an email send me sent.

not sure how to do the "date sent to supervisor" + 5 days and status is still sent to supervisor then send email to supervisor reminding them to approve item

moving this to a new thread, since the calculated columns seem to be the issue.
