Error opening file: Cannot read property 'connectionInstanceId' of null

A project that I had recently edit can no longer be opened.  Now getting an error opening file message that states "Cannot read property 'connectionInstanceId' of null"

Can someone please help?

I'm not sure exactly what's going on here.... but I had the same issue.  I think because I deleted a Flow that the App was still referencing.

This is how I resolved:

Firstly, to edit the App I had to 'restore a previous version' - This can be done in web.powerapps.com and going to the Apps details, and clicking versions and restore one of these.   Unfortunately, this means you lose your last edit...but if someone else finds a better way, then let us know.

Then I managed to edit the App and delete the flow.... it said something like 'cannot delete', but once I saved and re-opened for edit, it was gone.

Hopefully that helps....  I also think it's related to the latest rollout of PowerApps studio today??

I'm having the same issue as the OP and 'restore a previous version' does not helped. 
It seems something gone wrong since the last update of the PowerApps and some users are having the same error.

This is terrible since i can't work in my app since this problem appeared.

Restoring a prior version did not work for me.  Perhaps if I went 'way back', but then i would lose so much work and effort.  This is not good at all.  I was editing this exact same file the day before this started to happen, so I agree it must be a very recent change/modification.

Hi,

  Do you have a session id that i can use to look at logs? You can find the session id if you go to the account tab and then click on session details.

1. Do you see this in the desktop version of the app or on the web. If web - did you also try the desktop version (Studio)

2. What is your app configuration - does this have flows?

I'm getting this same issue and restoreing to a previous session did not work.

I get this error messgae in both the web version and the desktop version.

Same issue. App worked fine until yesterday, no I am unable edit it or download the latest version on mobile. Rolled back to a previous version and it did not fix it.

I DO have a flow on my app.

Both desktop and web version.  I have two flows associated with two different screens.

I did have a backup of an older version of the PowerApps desktop application that has allowed me to continue to edit.  If install the latest Windows Store version of the desktop PowerApps, or use the web version, I get the error again.
