Good Day

I'm relatively new to power apps.

Could someone please explain the error  Invalid argument type (Table). Expecting A Boolean value instead. 

The code I'm trying to use is If(Filter(ClockifyMinTime , CreationDate = Today()), DisplayMode.Disabled)

Where ClockifyMinTime = Sharepoint Online List
CreationDate = A date/time column in the list

The context of what I am trying to do is disable a button if date stored in the creation date is the same as the current date.

The filter function returns a record, the if statement is expecting a boolean. Edit: Apologies, I made a mistake. The filter function returns a table.

Another question I have: For Example, lets say there are two columns in a Sharepoint list column A: datatype Number and Column B: datatype Date/Time. 

Is it possible to disable n button that patches to that Sharepoint list if the day and number is equal to the previous record or entry?

If it is possible, may I ask for assistance with the syntax.

Yes, I believe it would be possible. Could you share a snippet of the screen you are working on. I think seeing it will help give more context and I will be able to possibly provide a solution that will work for.

I do apologize if my naming convention is confusing. The highlighted label on the tree view is the label that controls the number being displayed next to the "Total Time of Day" label.
Code for Submit Time Button
As you can see with the code for the submit time I have attempted a few different ways of trying to get this to work. I'm not trying to get all the commented code to work, it is just easier for me to try a few different ways to get the code to work. The un-commented code works as intended.

As in the example I asked, I would like to have the submit time button to be disabled if the total time of the day has already been submitted for the current day. It is mostly depended on the total time of the day not so much on the day.

Because currently, a user will be able to make duplicate records by just constantly clicking submit time.

Try this code in the Displaymode property of the button :

If(First(Sort(ClockifyMinTime , CreationDate, Ascending)).CreationDate = Today() , DisplayMode.Disabled, DisplayMode.Enabled) 

//I believe this will disable the button if the time has been submitted for the day.

Alternatively you can put this code in the onSelect property of the button:

 Refresh(ClockifyMinTime); 
If(First(Sort(ClockifyMinTime , CreationDate, Ascending)).CreationDate = Today(), Notify("Your message here if date exists"), {Your Patch Function})

//This will check if the date exists before submitting

Unfortunately, both approaches doesn't work in my case, they both still allow the button to be pressed.

I just looked at one of my apps and I see the issue, {Ascending} sorts dates oldest to newest. Try using {Descending} instead. This will look at the latest entry in your list
