Hi Users,
Need your help please.
I have gallery which i am trying to filter with multiple conditions.
example
ComboBox1 items = 1,2,3,4
ComboBox2 items = A,B,C,D
I want to filter gallery
One time with combox1
One time with combox2
One time with Combobox2 using ComboBox1

@Rat2 I've set this up with some test data. It does work.
Here, I've used sample employee data and 3 combo boxes. Any combination of the 2 combo boxes on the right will show the correct data.
Here's the exact code I have in my Gallery Items property:
With({ BUFilter: Filter(Employees, 'Business Unit' = DivisionCombo.Selected.Value)},
With({ GFilter:
If( IsBlank( GenderCombo.Selected.Value),
BUFilter,
Filter( BUFilter, Gender = GenderCombo.Selected.Value)
)},
If( IsBlank( AgeCombo.Selected.Value),
GFilter,
Filter( GFilter, Age = AgeCombo.Selected.Value)
)
)
)
I'm reading this as, you want to use each of these filters individually, not at the same time?
Create 3 buttons, one for each filter. The OnSelect property of the button should filter your data into a collection:
ClearCollect( MyGalleryCollection, Filter( Data, Something = ComboBox1.Selected.Value));
This will filter data based on your combo box value.
Then your Gallery Items property will be your MyGalleryCollection.
@Rat2 On your gallery use filter query like this:
Filter(YourDataSource, ColumnName = ComboBox1.Selected.Value || YourColumnName = ComboBox2.Selected.Value)

If this answer helps you in any way, please give it a like.
Thanks!
Hi @gcmfaizan @Chris-D
Actually, I lost in the else condition
If(ComboBox3.Selected.Value=Blank()&&ComboBox3_1.Selected.Value=Blank(),
Filter('Candidate','PD'=ComboBox2.Selected.Value), //Till here its fine
Filter('Candidate','PD'=ComboBox2.Selected.Value &&'Sourcing Channel'.Value=ComboBox3.Selected.Value && Level=ComboBox3_1.Selected.Value Or 'PD'=ComboBox2.Selected.Value&&'Sourcing Channel'.Value=ComboBox3.Selected.Value Or 'PD'=ComboBox2.Selected.Value&&Level=ComboBox3_1.Selected.Value ))
Your 'or' syntax is wrong. Try this, I've broken it down so you can see the steps.
Filter(
'Candidate',
(
'PD'=ComboBox2.Selected.Value
&& 'Sourcing Channel'.Value = ComboBox3.Selected.Value
&& Level = ComboBox3_1.Selected.Value
) || (
'PD'=ComboBox2.Selected.Value
&& 'Sourcing Channel'.Value = ComboBox3.Selected.Value
) || (
'PD'=ComboBox2.Selected.Value && Level=ComboBox3_1.Selected.Value
)
)
I also think your expression for the IF statement is wrong. Currently both ComboBox3 and ComboBox3_1 need to be blank. But, if just one of them is blank then your else condition will still run. I think you may want to use OR here instead of AND.
Thank you for the quick reply @Chris-D
Still i am not getting - sorry
In the below image i.e. gallery when i filter with CNT and 6 - it should return one row i.e. CNT and 6 however it is filtering with CNT and 6 separately
Yes,
If i select CNT - it should filter with CNT and show 3 rows
If i select 6 - it should filter with 6 and show 2 rows
If i select CNT and 6 - it should filter only CNT & 6 and show 1 row
And please note ComboBox2.Selected.Value should be the default in all the filters
Try this in your Gallery Items:
With({ PDFilter: Filter( 'Candidate', PD = ComboBox2.Selected.Value)},
With({ SCFilter:
If( IsBlank( ComboBox3.Selected.Value),
PDFilter,
Filter( PDFilter, 'Sourcing Channel'.Value = ComboBox3.Selected.Value)
)},
If( IsBlank( ComboBox3_1.Selected.Value),
SCFilter,
Filter( SCFilter, Level = ComboBox3_1.Selected.Value
)
)
)
Untested, amazed if it works haha!
The idea here is we filter the data 3 times, using With to pass the result to the next step each time.
First time we do the PD ComboBox2 filter and capture this to PDFilter. Then, if ComboBox3 is blank, we send the whole lot to SCFilter, else we filter this, then again for ComboBox3_1
