Filter a lookup column

Hello,

I have a lookup column that looks up to the USERS table, column EMAIL (dataverse).  Is there a way to filter the values of this column to certain record only?

If the EMAIL column from the USER table contains 150 records, is there a way to only show 10 as to pick from to avoid going through all the unnecessary list?

I use this to assign an incident case.  Thanks.

The FirstN function might be what you're looking for. This will return the top 10 records from the User table.

FirstN(Users, 10)

Thank you for your quick reply.  Unfortunately the records that I would like to filter are not found in top N but are found in different rows.

Here is the value of the Items showing in the form when I connected to the table that grabs the ASSIGNED to from the USER table.  Thanks again.

If you want to return the first 10 assigned users, you should be able to apply FirstN to the Choices like this:

FirstN(Choices([@INCIDENTS].user_ASSIGNED3), 
       10
)

You can additionally filter dataverse Users table like this:

Sort(
   Filter(Choices([@Objectives].user_ASSIGNED3), 
   Status='Status (Users)'.Enabled, 
   !("#" in 'Full Name')
   ),
   'Full Name'
)

You can add additional filters as you like.

Note: Use combobox to allow searching functionality for better navigation

Hi @timl ,

Unfortunately the users are not in the top FirstN but scattered in the email column of the USER table.  Is there a way to just show in the selection the following users, for example, like Tom2123.com, Sandra@123.com,  Sam@123.com?  Thanks again.

Is this what you meant to apply in the combo box?  How do yo achieve if the box should only show selection for certain emails?  .

Just to clarify, are you saying that the User table contains records with blank email addresses, which is the reason why you can't retrieve the top 10 with FirstN?

If you were to use @Ethan_R's formula, you would need to remove the first call to FirstN(Choices.
You can't include both formulas in that way.

Your formula works but only returns the top 10.  What if I would like to return only specific records found in different lines or rows from this while list?  Thanks.
