Filter choices for a Sharepoint list people to exclude people

So my organisation has many branches in different countries and right now in the Sharepoint list form it shows all of them, even the global CEO. I want to make sure you are unable to choose or even search for higher ranking people.

I only want the people in the organization to be shown for the people below the Country manager in the organization diagram shown in Teams, because this houses all the people in the different departments and subordinates that I want to be able to be selected.

In other words: i want to have the Country manager, Marketing manager, Finance manager, etc and all of the subordinates (Because Marketing manager is a subordinate of Country Manager, and at the same time Marketing manager has Anna, Luis, etc as sub-subordinates and Anna at the same time has Robert).

Is this possible to be filtered?

you could use the Office365Users connector to get directreports of logged in user and you'll add them into the combobox
Office365Users.DirectReportsV2(User().Email).value
give it a try

Hey  @scalca ty for your reply.

I tried but couldn't get it to work. Do i just paste that into the Items property of the combobox with no additional commands? Furthemore, I'm not sure where do I paste the email of the person

ChatGPT told me like this: Office365Users.DirectReportsV2(bossemail@email.com).value

But that doesn't seem correct, as it erased your part of "User().Email"

So, what would the full command be?

sorry I thought your goal was to get directreports of current logged in user
in case you want to pass the id you could do in items property of combobox

Office365Users.DirectReportsV2("boss@company.com").value
pls make sure to add the connector Data>Add Data > Office365Users
also make sure to select the field you want to display in properties pane

@scalca ty for your reply. Altough the formula you gave me produces this error: "DirectReportsV2 is an unvalid function or not admited in the context of Office365Users"

I checked also that I added the data connector Office365Users.

And lastly for some reason the field for me is blocked and cannot select anything:

can you try and see if Office365Users.DirectReports is returning an error too ?
under "Avanzado" there is an unlock button which you have to select first in order to edit fields

Hey @scalca, I tried

Office365Users.DirectReports("boss@company.com")

Witouth the ".value" and this shows the subordinates of my boss, but thought it would also show as well each of their sub-subordinates. If I do the DirectReportsV2 with the ".value" at the end it gives no error but the combobox shows up as blank.

(If i put the ".value" in the normal DirectReports, it gave an error, saying that "value" was not recognised)

Altough, even the DirectReports does allow me to see the options, even if I select one of them, it is not getting saved to my People column. Please don't tell me that this has to be saved with the Patch command xD... As of right now I only have the "SubmitForm(SharePointForm1)" on the OnSelect of a button.

DirectReportsV2 returns a table of records in Value column this is why you'll have to add .value
DirectReports returns table of records that's why .value is not required

basically both of them will return the subordinates of the that particular user only
as mentioned you'll have to define in properties pane which fields you want to show in the combobox

@scalca and there is no way to add both the boss and the subordinates? ChatGPT told me with a collection.

And about saving this info into the Sharepoint list People column, ChatGPT also told me the Patch function, I want to avoid this at all costs... It will ruin my whole code. Do you know of any other way I can get it to save without using Patch?
