Filter in Browsegallery based on labels

Hi all,

I thought I had created it once, but totally forgot how to, hopefully someone can help me out with this. Is there a way to filter the lines in the browsegallery based on the label? Some items are finished and some are live, in this case I want to filter on Finished or Live campaigns in this case. The label for Finished = Label3_2 and Live = Label3_2

Rinzo_0-1689690190914.png

As you can see on the dropdown above, I want to see all live campaigns. Does anyone what formula I need for this?

Any help is appreciated!

Many thanks!

Hi @Anonymous,

Filter('Campaigns MJ',If(Dropdown1.Selected.Value="LIVE",'End-date Campaign'>=Today(),'Start-date Campaign'<Today())&&searchbar.Text in ColumnName)

If the search text equals to the value in the column, you could replace the in with the "=".

Further, it is an "And" relationship, which means you filter the live records that meets the search text at the same time.

Best Regards,
Qi

Hi @Anonymous ,

Am not sure if you could directly apply the filters using Label Control perhaps you could use their Text property for the value. But as per your requirement I feel like there could be another convenient approach.

Correct me if am wrong, you are trying to filter your gallery results based on the Live or Finished campaigns. So for this, you could do:

If you are having a dropdown/combobox to select the Live or Finished. Then follow this.

On the Items property of your gallery add the code to filter the results. Let's say if your column name is 'campaigns status '. Then use:

Filter(DataSource, Or(IsBlank(campaigndropdown.Selected.Value),campaigns status=campaigndropdown.Selected.Value))

Hi @JatinSaini

Thank you for your effort.

Maybe its good to know that the label is based on the start and enddate. There is no column attached or field that has to be filled in to make this label appear. Which makes it better to refer to the start and end date? There is a column of that but need to define dropdown choices still as Live and Finished.

Hi @Anonymous,

Do you want to filter Gallery based on Live campaigns, which is selected status from the dropdown?

Yes, you are right that it is better to refer to the start and end date directly.

Just for example, you set Label3_2 Text property with a condition to make it display Live or Finished, please copy this condition and move it to the Gallery Items:

Filter(DataSource,If(dropdown.Selected.Value="Live",<condition_display_Live>,<condition_display_finished>))

Make sure that this condition will help you get the live campaigns.

Obviously, you could keep the Label3_2.

Hi @v-qiaqi-msft

Thank you for answer, I try to customize the formula based on my datasource and dropdown name (which is simply Dropdown1). But the last part is what I dont get:

<condition_display_Live>,<condition_display_finished>

This is the part when you have to show the live campaigns in dashboard when value is true and finished campaigns when the answer is false? Appreciate the help!

Hi @Anonymous,

I think you shouls show me the complete formula you made the label display live or finished.

Here is a simple demo.

Assuming I make the condition of the Label as below:

If(ThisItem.EndDate>=Today(),"Live","Finished")

Here the "ThisItem.EndDate>=Today()" is your condition part, remember this.

Then you should set the Gallery items:

Filter(DataSource,If(dropdown.Selected.Value="Live",EndDate>=Today(),EndDate<Today()))

Hi @v-qiaqi-msft

The formula on visible for the label is:

If(ThisItem.'End-date Campaign'-Today() <= 0,true,false)

So that means the formula of my gallery would be:

Filter(DataSource,If(dropdown.Selected.Value="Live",EndDate-Today() <= 0,EndDate<Today()))

I suppose?

Hi @Anonymous,

Just test it for the Gallery Items property.

Hi @v-qiaqi-msft

I get the feeling we are almost there:

Rinzo_0-1689836557478.png

Tried both formulas (yours and mine) but get the same result. And the gallery only shows ended campaigns, while the dropdown states "LIVE". Btw, the drop down only has these as items:

["LIVE","FINISHED"]

Not sure if I have to change that?

Hi @v-qiaqi-msft ,

Alright, I think its solved now, the formula now is:

Filter('Campaigns MJ',If(Dropdown1.Selected.Value="LIVE",'End-date Campaign'>=Today(),'Start-date Campaign'<Today()))

But I still get the delegation warning as in my previous post. Hopefully that wont bother much?

Edit: the search bar is now not working due the formula, anything I can do in the formula to make it working?
