Filtering a gallery based on a value inside the gallery which is connected to another list/database

I'm trying to hide the row with the value of "Closed" in the Case Update column.

How will I do that? I'm trying to use Filter funciton but it doesnt work: Filter(database,label1_5="closed")

In the conditions in the Filter function you need to reference the columns in the datasource, not the controls in the gallery:

Filter(database,'Case Update'="closed")

The problem is the control in the gallery has a different source from the gallery itself. The Label1_5 is a lookup to another set of list that has this formula: Last(Filter('EWS Intervention Data',Title1.Text='Case Number')).'Case Status'.Value

In that case I recommend to use AddColumns to add the values from the other data source and then filter for that:

Filter(
   AddColumns(
      DataSource,
      "Case Update",
      Last(
         Filter(
            'EWS Intervention Data',
            'Case Number'= DataSource.CaseNumber
         )
      ).'Case Status'.Value
   ),
   'Case Update' = "closed"
)

You'll have to replace 'DataSource' with the name of your data source and 'DataSource.CaseNumber' with the name of the column that has the foreign key to the 'EWS Intervention Data' data source.

Now don't get me wrong - I'm very new to Powerapps, so I could have the wrong end of the stick. But from my understanding, this would work

By using this on a screen before

Set(variablename,ThisItem.itemname);

and then calling it back on the next screen

Filter(datasourcename,itemname=variablename)

This worked just fine for me for what I need it to do, but as I say, I could have the wrong idea of what @vanhuxley24 needs...

I tried your suggestion, but it didn't work, and it has a non-delegable restriction. So, the workaround we did is just to remove the function where they can add anymore another ticket inside the case when it's already tagged closed.
