Filtering based on two input fields

Hi,

I want to be able to filter my gallery based on one or more values entered in the text input fields. If I type something in the 'date, then the Gallery is filtered for that user. If I then enter a value for 'user, then the gallery will be filtered further. I searched for a solution, but I can't find syntax.

Filter(
Recepció,
StartsWith(Id_x0151_pont,TextInput1.Text)||
StartsWith(Title,TextInput4.Text))

Hi @BiTry ,

You mean something like this?

Filter(Recepció,Textinput1.Text in 'Id_x0151_pont' || Textinput4.Text in 'Title')

You would need to add a check formula if there is no match in Id_x0151_pont from TextInput1.Text.

No...:(, I start typing the date in the first field, then search for the 'Title associated with the date..

For technical reasons 'Id_x0151_point' is a text field, but I call it 'date' /sorry/. Actually, text field->textinput1... this is where I start typing the date, and textinput4 is the 'Title for date. Both fields are text.

That's fine you can adjust the formula for Text based data and Number/Date based data if needed.

If the formula works well that's the most important thing?

For the date , no filtering :(, that's exactly what my ' solution does.

So... if I enter e.g. 2022.08.18 in the input1 field, I want to search for names with this date.

I entered 2022.08.18 and the list is empty, no names appear /there are names for the date/.

Please try to create new in app collection and do the test if the formula works on your test collection. I did try this at my end and everything seemed to work well.

Checked the date and then could enter name and filtered out as needed.

There must be something wrong at your end. 

I did spend 5 minutes of my time to prove it.

Look i made a new SharePoint list called NewList.

There is 2 single line text columns called date and user.

date is single line of text column :

 

Here is the search result:

Left side textinput for date column , right side for user column

Formula :

With(
     {_GetDates:
             Filter(
                    NewList,
                    StartsWith(date,Column1Search.Text)
             )
     },
     Filter(
            _GetDates, 
            StartsWith(user,Column2Search.Text)
     )
)

If this doesn't work for you then you have some other issue. Possibly column or something else. Troubleshot that.

Uhh..  there is the problem, instead of 'stratswith', some 'include' or 'contain' function should be used..
