Filtering out Gallery items based on another Gallery.

Hi,  I am working on trying to filter a couple of galleries based on the info provided in another gallery.  What I would like to do is use the information in the gallery that's on the left (the part that has CG 16 and CG 25) and use that information to filter out those items in the gallery that is located under the DC 1 Swing Engines section.  I would then want to do the same type of thing using the information located under DC 2 Swing Engines if there are any items that match those items.  For example since the gallery on the left has CG 16 and CG 25 I would like the gallery in the middle to only display CG 26, CG 90, CG 91.

I've tried using the Filter function and the If function but I guess I'm not understanding the proper way to word what I want it to do.  I've tried looking at how both Filter and If work but I just don't understand the proper coding for it to not show certain data if it is in another gallery.  Any and all help would be very much appreciated.  Thanks!

Information: The gallery on the left is called: Gallery3_1, the Gallery under DC 1 Swing Engines is called Gallery1 and the Gallery under DC 2 Swing Engines is called Gallery1_1.  The Text sections that I'm concerned about in Gallery3_1 is called Label1, the text section I'm concerned about in Gallery1 is called Title3, and the text section I'm concerned about in Gallery1_1 is called Title3_1.

Hi @Arcisze ,

Assuming you're just working with either a collection, or the data in the galleries (their current contents), you could probably use Not() and in to achieve what you want.

For example:

Gallery1 Items: property 

//the Gallery that will show everything except items that are in the another Gallery
Filter(collection, Not(columnName in otherGallery.AllItems.columnName))

For predictable results, I'd suggest using a column that is a unique identifier for that row (like an ID column), but you can play with this depending on your needs.

You can likewise replicate this for the third Gallery and so add infinitum.

Bear in mind, this will cause delegation issues if you try and apply it directly to a datasource - you may need to move toward a collection if you haven't already - or use a hidden Gallery connected to your source to contain your full list of items and filter off that.

Thanks for the response.  I am trying what you suggested but I am still having issues.  Perhaps I am not using the right terms?

This is what I am trying in Item Property for Gallery1:  Filter(Gallery1_2, Not(Title in Gallery3_1.AllItems.Title)

Gallery1_2 is a new gallery that I created that has a list of all of the engines I want (this is based on a datasource called Swing Engines 1).  Gallery3_1 is the Gallery on the left that has the engines that are currently in use that I want to filter out.  In the Datasource that feeds Gallery3_1 (GSI Backup Engines Info) the column I have it looking for is Title (that is the column name for the engines' names).  

Am I wording the Filter formula correctly?

Hi @Arcisze ,

If you're filtering a Gallery as the source for another Gallery, you need to use the .AllItems property of the source Gallery - so;

Filter(Gallery1_2.AllItems, Not(Title in Gallery3_1.AllItems.Title))

and don't forget your closing brackets
