Flow used by powerapp run with wrong user

Hi,

I have a flow that connect to SharePoint to upload image. the flow use my o365 connection.

then I have a powerapp to use this flow. and it works well.

then I shared my powerapp to other users.

they can see the powerapp, and then can run it,

however , when they upload image using powerapp. the image is trying to upload use their o365 account, instead of mine.

Is there a way that the flow always use my connection does not matter who run the powerapp?

Thanks

HI @gli ,

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

Do you want the flow to upload image into your SP library using your own account rather than these end users' account?

Actually, when you share an app that includes a flow (add a flow connection), users who run the app will be prompted to confirm or update any connections on which the flow relies. In other words, the end users would be prompted to create their own connection to SharePoint connector in the flow.

Please check the following article for more details:

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/share-app-resources#flows

Currently, within PowerApps & Microsoft Flow, there is no way to force the flow to use your own account to create connection rather than others.

If you want the flow to upload image into your SP library using your own account rather than these end users' account, you could consider share your Office 365 account with the end users, and ask them use your account to create connection to the SharePoint connector in the flow.

In addition, you could also consider take a try to create a service account on your side, and share this service account with your users, ask them to use this service account to create a connection to SharePoint connector in your flow.

Thanks Kris,

It is not a good design that I cannot use the common account for flow and hide it from end user.

as a result, I will have to give all users contibute permission to the sharepoint library so they can use their account to run the flow.

but thanks for confirm that limitation.

For my case, I created a custom connector that call Power BI REST API, Group - Get Groups which is expected to return a list of work spaces the current user has access to. In the Custom Connector, I used my credential for the connection. Then I created a flow which called the custom connector and it did return list of work spaces as per my credential; I was using my credential in the custom connector, so this is expected. Everything seems promising but ....

I then created a Power Apps with a button to call the flow (with that custom connector) and shared it with others. However, when the shared user uses the Power Apps, it always returned the list of work spaces of the credential of the connection configured in the custom connector, instead of theirs!

I want it to return the work spaces of the user who uses the Power App.

Any thought and advice on getting it to work as expected?
