Functionality of Buttons

Hi, I am looking for a button to basically act as a Macro as it would in Excel.

My app so far works as follows;

1. I will chose information from dropdown boxes.

2. I will enter in a Qty for the items I have chosen in the dropdown boxes.

3. Calculations on a seperate page will show me a value.

I need to be able to select different items from these dropdown boxes, and add all of the final values together. I'm not sure if a button has the functionality to perform this though. any help is appreciated.

you can collect these information to collections and then at the end you can submit it all to your datasource or do with it what ever you want.

A button can do whatever you want it to do.

Let's say, you want to the following:

step1: Select grade = ABC, length = 1m qty = 10 and then click Add

step2: Select grade = DEF, length = 1.5m qty = 5 and then click Add

...

Lastly , click a button Ok, which will take you to another page where you will see all the selections you made in a tabular form and also the amount of each bar and then the total of all the bars.

I am sure you can achieve it using Collections. Every time, you click 'Add' you add the values in a collection. And then finally when you click Ok, you do your calculation and then display.

Firstly , there's no button that can make your demand come true directly in PowerApps.

In PowerApps, if you want one button have one spefic function, you need to set it OnSelect property.

So the most important is the formula used in OnSelect property.

Secondly, could you describe more clearly about how do you get the calculted value? 

Is the values selected in drop down1 and drop down2 filtered conditions?

I've made a similar test for your reference:

I assume that: calculted value=filtered value(by dropdown1 and drop down2)*Qty

1)set drop down1:table1 Value:field1

         drop down2table1  Value:field2

2)Set calculated value Label's Text: a        //a variable

3)Set act button's OnSelect:

Set(a,LookUp(table1,field1=Dropdown1.Selected.field1&&
                    field2=Dropdown2.Selected.field2,
             field3                                          //get the filed3's value
             )*Value(Qtytextbox.Text))                      //result*Qty

If you want to filter items according to different conditions, I suggest you try Filter,Search,Lookup function.
