Galleries snapping to top row

Sorry if I missed this topic elsewhere. I had this problem begin today, in an app that has been working fine for three years. Suddenly, all scrolling galleries were snapping to the top after I scrolled down. It did not happen in any other app, and nothing significant changed in this one.

First I tried toggling on the Show Navigation, and the galleries stayed where the navigation arrows put them, but scrolling with the bar or with the mouse wheel had them snap back to whichever row the navigation arrows put it at.

What I wound up doing was toggling OFF the Show Scrollbar setting, then toggling it back ON. The galleries are still snapping to the top on my first attempt to scroll, but after that they're fine. This initial glitch also occurs when I leave a screen and return to it: first time scrolling, it snaps to the top, but after that it's fine.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, is there a cause or a fix?

Thanks!

Here's what I got from MS Support: "We can confirm that the issue has been fixed by the product team. Hence could you please try to change the authoring version to the latest version: 3.22111.17 and republish the app."

Following this...

I had a same issue show up in my app of this morning. It only shows up when the gallery is in displaymode.edit. In displaymode.view, it works seemingly fine.

Also only appears to show up when you open the app normally (eg from a link or from make.powerapps.com) and not in edit (play) mode.

If you figure out whats happening, let me know! I'll continue to sus out what is happening with mine and if I find a solution, I'll let you know 🙂

Cheers

I found that if I drag the scroll square down and hold it in place until the jumping around stops, the gallery stays in place. However, as soon as the cursor clicks anywhere on the gallery or hovers over an actionable icon (such as Edit, Copy, and Delete), the gallery pops back to the top.

I bit the bullet and tried to create a new gallery. (Just one -- every gallery in the app has the problem.) Part-way through, though, it looked as though the new gallery had the problem, and the old gallery was working. Yet this morning, the new gallery was working and the old one had the problem. Maybe it all depends on which way the breeze is blowing. Looking forward to an explanation and fix.

I get the same issue, Gallery snaps to first item if you hover over an icon. Must be the latest Power Apps Version, if I go back to an earlier Version as 3.22103.22, everything is fine again. Hope they fix this soon!

I have the same issue, seems to affect fixed height and flexible height galleries.
This appears to have started around a week ago, in new and old apps alike so I can only imagine that it's a platform issue as opposed to an app/data issue.

For info, most of my apps use Sharepoint lists as a data source.

Thanks for the info, everyone! I've only found this affecting one app, so far.

Not sure how relevant this might be (will ask some of my users to test tomorrow)  but using the app within the Teams desktop app does not seem to have the same issue. I just checked the app in parallel windows and the browser player still bounced back while the teams player seemed to work normally.

Its funny you mention flexible height and fixed height galleries... mine is purely isolated to flexible height galleries.

The galleries in question that are snapping back for me are both flexible height.

Good catch!

My app users started reporting this same issue to me yesterday as well.  We have been using the app with no issues for over a year
