Gallery does not filter out Office365 user if user has no profile picture

Hi Community,

I am aiming to make a Gallery and filter out people that are in the same district as the User that is currently using the tool. Only people present in the same district should show up and user should not show up for himself/herself.

To identify the user, I have added the Office365Users Connector and am using User().Email
I have a user Database from SharePoint, where Email address is stored along with the aforementioned District.
Sharepoint Collumns:
US - Project - Dataset - Name of my SharePoint list.
Email - exact email address of user
District - E.g.: DistrictA, DistrictB, DistrictC ...
Name - Nickname of the users

Sort
(
    Filter(
        'US Project - dataset',
        Email <> User().Email &&
        District = LookUp('US Project - dataset', Email = User().Email, District)
    ),
    'Name ({Name})'
)

For some reason what happens is that when a user has a profile picture set in Outlook (or rather in office 365) then the filter works correctly, and the user is excluded from the gallery for himself/herself , and everybody else in the same district still shows up.

The problem is however if the user does not have a profile picture, then the user still can see himself/herself amongst the other members of the district he/she belongs to.

Could somebody please help me figure out why this is happening?
I have gone through a few iterations already but with no success.

Thank you in advance for your advice.

@DBO_DV

I have added the formula  to the Apps 'OnStart' Property.

I have added colDistrict into 'Items' property of the Gallery.
After doing this the gallery went blank.
No information is visible.

When you Right-click on "App" you get those options:

Select once Run OnStart.

@DBO_DV  The modifications were made.  Thank you for the instructions.

For me as a user with profile picture the 'Remove' works.  Now the gallery items show up. Pictures are there for users who have one in Office365 but I have checked with a user who has no profile picture and for him his account is still visible.  The issue still persists.

Could you add for this user a second Gallery with this code:

LookUp(colDistrict,User().Email=Email)

And show the Column email and in a textlabel next to it put

User().Email

I'm piratically sure that those are not equal then.

@DBO_DV , I had this idea before. I have added the email address from the dataset as a field of the gallery to be able to compare directly with a label created using USER().Email and they are the same.
Even case sensitivity can't be the issue.

The issue only is present for people who have no identification picture set in Office365.

Had you had the opportunity to try this?

LookUp(colDistrict,User().Email=Email)

Otherwise could you try to put

User().Email

in a variable just to Test. If it's equal it has to work, you could try putting the text function around the Colummn and the User(). Email.

hey

Could you try to clean the function up and run it a few times on start?

ClearCollect(
    colDistrict,
    Sort(
        Filter(
            'US Project - dataset',
            District = LookUp(
                'US Project - dataset',
                Email = User().Email,
                District
            )
        ),
        'Name ({Name})'
    )
);
Remove(
    colDistrict,
    LookUp(
        colDistrict,
        User().Email = Email
    )
);

It's really rare but sometimes it happens that there is a bug. The best way to get around that is wait a day and be a bit stubborn by trying it again.
