Gallery filter on user in a SharePoint group

I am currently filtering on a user field in sharepoint. This works well.

First setting value: Set(ThisUserEmail, User().Email)

Then the filter on the gallery:

Filter(Tasks,ThisUserEmail in 'Assigned To'.Email)

On the list "Tasks" is the field user & group en able. 

So when I am added to a SP group and this group is added to an item in the "Assigned To" field.

It won't return this record, only the fields that I am directly added to in the Tasks  list.

Is this possible, tried the search but that is only about issues with users and not with groups.

Or should I filter on another element instead of email?

What you can do is to create a Variable OnStart of the App:

Set(ThisUserEmail, User().Email);

Set(MyGroup,LookUp(Tasks,ThisUserEmail in 'Assigned To'.Email,GroupColumn)

Then Filter as follows:

Filter(Tasks,MyGroup in 'Assigned To'.GroupColumn)

Do you want to filter the items that belongs to the same group?

Please notice these points:

1) User().Email will return the current user's email, not current user's group email

2)sharepoint person field could only choose office group value, not including SP group

3)one person could belong to multiple groups

To get the groups that current person belongs to, you need to use Office365 groups connector.

The right steps should be like this:

1)add current user to an office group in azure admin center:

https://portal.azure.com

2)get this office group's object id in azure admin center

3)use formula like this to filter to get group members based on this group email:

Office365Groups.ListGroupMembers("cbf53482-9710-4d0a-89xxxx").value
//Office365Groups.ListGroupMembers(group object id).value

4)If "Assigned To" field not allows multiple value, use formula like this to get items that belongs to this group:

Filter(Tasks,'Assigned To'.Email in Office365Groups.ListGroupMembers(group object id).value.mail
)

If "Assigned To" field allows multiple value, use formula like this to get items that belongs to this group:

Filter(Tasks,Concat(Office365Groups.ListGroupMembers(group object id).value,mail&" ") in 
             Concat('Assigned To',Email&" ")
)

If you want to dynamically get group email, you could consider using a drop down to choose group to filter.

set the drop down's Items:

Office365Groups.ListOwnedGroupsV3().value

//return all the groups that current user owns and belongs to

If "Assigned To" field not allows multiple value, use formula like this to get items that belongs to this group:

Filter(Tasks,'Assigned To'.Email in Office365Groups.ListGroupMembers(Dropdown1.Selected.id).value.mail
)

If "Assigned To" field allows multiple value, use formula like this to get items that belongs to this group:

Filter(Tasks,Concat(Office365Groups.ListGroupMembers(Dropdown1.Selected.id).value,mail&" ") in 
             Concat('Assigned To',Email&" ")
)

Then you will filter items based on the selected group.
