Getting SharePoint Lookup Column to display values

Hello, 

I am currently working on a ticketing system using Powerapps and a Sharepoint list. I am trying to obtain and use the values of Creator and status on the page that displays the tickets to the user. The issue is that when I click on Data, and go down to one of the dropdown menus, I see some of the data values, but not Status and Creator. 

Is there a function that goes out to the sharepoint list and finds these values for me using the ticket's ID, which is unique?

Hi @Daemagor

There are no lookup fields in the dropdown menus. You must manually enter the Text property of the Label controls

ThisItem.Status.Value

ThisItem.Creator.Value

Would you please share more information about the field type for the Status and the creator in SharePoint list?

For the Creator, if it is a People Or Group type, then you could show the user name with:

ThisItem.Creator.DisplayName

And if the Status or the creator is a custom Lookup type, then you should be able to refer its data by:

ThisItem.Creator.value

ThsiLtem.Status.value

Good Morning @@v-micsh-msft,

ThisItem.Creator.DisplayName is what I was looking for. I am now able to get the name of the person who created the ticket. The only part that I am unable to get now is the Status field. The Status filed is a choice - dropdown in the SharePoint list. With the Creator field being as such, I would of thought the lookup for that field would be something like this now: ThisItem.Status.Selected.Value, but that was not the solution. Am I close, or barely touching the surface?

If the field meets the requirements, 

then using:

ThisItem.status.value 

Should be able to show the status value.

That works! I have one more question for this extravagent piece of a puzzle I have.

 SortByColumns(Filter(Tickets, ID = Value(TextSearchBox1.Text)), "ID", If(SortDescending1, Descending, Ascending)),
 
 SortByColumns(Filter(Tickets, StartsWith(Title, TextSearchBox1.Text)), "ID", If(SortDescending1, Descending, Ascending))))

The part where I have multiple filters is where its throwing an error. 

ThisItem.Name.DisplayName = User().FullName && ThisItem.Status.Value <> "Completed")

ThisItem.Name.DisplayName & ThisItem.Status.Value have: Invalid use of "."

FullName: Part of this filter formula cannot be evaluated remotly due to service limitions.

FullName isnt an issue when this goes into production from what I have seen in the past, unless you see it as one.

In my scenario,

I have 

Sharepoint list 1: Title,Product

sharepoint list 2: Title,MyProducts

• Here Both Title columns are having different data.
• And both Product and MyProducts Columns are lookups with different names and having same data.
• In My Application, Dropdown1 has Title column form Sharepoint list 1
• Dropdown 2 has Title column from Sharepoint List 2
• Now I need to filter Dropdown2 Title values based on Dropdown1 Title values using similar data from Products and MyProducts lookup columns from two sharepoint list

Can anyone please help me with getting these values into PowerApp form.

Hi @v-micsh-msft 

can you please tell me where exactly should i put the formula at? 

i need to get a value from SPlist-1 and put it in SPlist-2 and then display it in a gallery where ID from SPlist-1 is displaying the value from the lookup column in SPlist-1.
