Graphs with Different Datas

6.png

Hi, I have a sharepoint list table and powerapps apllication. People recording differnt works in my list. ı want to show graphs for stats.

My real value will be hours coloum, (4,5,8,2,9,9)....

I ll use names for bar graph for serdar and murat names. I need sum hour datas for murat and serdar. Bar graph will show me murat=13 serdar=20

Then i ll do it for private, office and shift graph. Same conditon, i need sum hours again. private=4, shift=5 and office=28. i ll show these datas also in another bar graph.

Last thing, I want to restrict these hour datas for graphics with a period selection combobox like "last 1 month" last 3 months" "last 6 months" "last 1 year"

How can i sum the hours within my time period selection to show graphs.

Hi @mhorzum ,

Based on your description it seems the wrong operator was used in the filter condition:

Created<=DatePicker1.SelectedDate

The correct one is:

With({_items: Filter('mysharepointdb';Created>=DatePicker1.SelectedDate)};
	AddColumns(
		GroupBy(
			AddColumns(
				_items;
				"User";
				'Created By'.DisplayName
			);
			"User";
			"MGroup"
		);
		"Total Hours";
		Sum(
			MGroup;
			THours
		)
	)
)

Hi @mhorzum ,

In the MS documentation for the GroupBy function, you can find examples of exactly what you are looking for:

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/power-fx/reference/function-groupby#aggregate-resul...

Hi @mhorzum ,

The below example will group by name and sum the duration of each activity per group in a column call "Sum of activity duration":

AddColumns(
	GroupBy(
		DataSource,
		"Name",
		"Activities"
	),
	"Sum of activity duration",
	Sum(
		Activities,
		Duration
	)
)

For this to work for you, you probably need to change some of the identifies such as "DataSource" (list name), "Name", and "Duration".

AddColumns(GroupBy(AddColumns('mydb';"User";'Created By'.DisplayName);"Station";"MGroup");"Total Hours";Sum(MGroup;THours))

 This formule works. But I used this formule in my db for Station - Hours and Trainer - Hours graphs.

You can see my sharepoinl list format.

AddColumns(GroupBy(AddColumns('mydb';"User";'Created By'.DisplayName);"Station";"MGroup");"Total Hours";Sum(MGroup;THours))

I m trying to do "Work Time - Hours" and Training Type - Hours" graphs but it doesnt work.

I m changing Station to Work Time or Training Type but doent work

Hi @mhorzum ,

Probably the issues is then that you can't group for complex columns, so you'll have to apply a similar workaround as you did for the 'Created By' column:

AddColumns(
	GroupBy(
		AddColumns(
			'mysharepointdb';
			"WorkTime";
			'Work Time'.Value
		);
		"WorkTime";
		"MGroup"
	);
	"Total Hours";
	Sum(
		MGroup;
		THours
	)
)

Thank you, thats worked.

I m triying to limit "Thours" values to SUM function with date selector. When coosed a date only "created" column dates >= datepicker.selecteddate, these limited time values must shown on graphs

With({_items:Filter('mysharepointdb';Created<=DatePicker1.SelectedDate)};AddColumns(GroupBy(AddColumns('MO Trainer Follow Up';"User";'Created By'.DisplayName);"User";"MGroup");"Total Hours";Sum(MGroup;THours)))

i tried this but doesnt worked

Hi @mhorzum ,

You missed to update the datasource in the GroupBy function:

With({_items: Filter('mysharepointdb';Created<=DatePicker1.SelectedDate)};
	AddColumns(
		GroupBy(
			AddColumns(
				_items;
				"User";
				'Created By'.DisplayName
			);
			"User";
			"MGroup"
		);
		"Total Hours";
		Sum(
			MGroup;
			THours
		)
	)
)
