Has HTML tagging in Notify been removed?

Hi All, 

 

I've searched for this question, forgive me if it's already been asked but worded completely differently. 

 

I had basic heading HTML tags in my Notify formulas that have stopped working (image attached). 

 

Can anyone advise please?

It seems you are right. HTML tag not working with Notify function. I am facing the same issue.

I'm afraid it is not available for now, Cause the notify function no longer supports HTML tags. But you can vote for this idea:

I'm sorry, but this is UNACCEPTABLE!  Using html in any user message has worked forever in Notify and how can developers at Microsoft remove this functionality without any advanced notification!  This will cause literally hundreds of hours of work for my company so the error messages can be read.

 

I'm looking for a high level MICROSOFT development person to explain how this doesn't indicate incompetence and disregard for the customer of your products.  This is the reason people will give me as to why we shouldn't do low-code solutions because Microsoft will break your application that has been working for years!

@v-dezhili-msft please ESCALATE to the HIGHEST level of the MS Power App Development group.  Removing functionality that has been working for years is inexcusable.  Someone needs to put this back ASAP and should be sending apologies.  I don't see how MS thinks this is an acceptable business practice.  Do you?

I am going to raised this at our regional and national user groups plus our national digital service as we or any other Emergency Service provider can not develop anything unless we have a stable platform that is not constantly messed around in an apparently uncontrolled way at a drop of a hat. For example, I was on a SharePoint course when one feature moved config screens and one appeared to be lost from the Monday to Friday of the course. It is appearing more and more that the Microsoft 365 Platform which cost us millions and every other emergency service entity millions too every year is not fit for purpose for commercial never mind any emergency services. I will be proposing that the Emergency Services get a long term 365 service platform that are only updated with non functional security patches and fixed for at least 5 years. Every year a new long term version can be brought out with a list of controlled changes since the last and tools to help transfer, if & when we wish within the 5 plus year minimum stability period. This is what the world had before when we bought something once at a single fixed cost and upgraded when we needed too. You can have monthly updates but list everything that has changed and the option to roll-back. Evergreen is fine in principle but currently it is more deciduous with leaves, twigs and even branches falling off; this is also not reserved for Autumn (Fall) but all year round. 

 

Low code is good in a way but it can be killed by Microsoft in a click of finger or mouse. We are also limited in what Power Apps does without even the basics of a Excel Indirect type function to make the field / Microsoft list item from text. e.g. a for loop of x from 1 to 10 to go through " 'item_' & x " i.e. item_1, item_2.

 

I could go on but the main thing we need is stability or control to implement and roll-back changes. Currently we could build critical systems that could instantaneously break without notice and left without it and a large bill to fix. Lives can depend on what we develop and we need a stable, fixed & reliable platform.

I agree.  This was extremely frustrating to learn and find out from customers why the notifications became almost unreadable.  Please fix Microsoft!!!!

FYI, my MS Contact that works with my company once a month has been aware of this and they are going to investigate as to why the HTML just HAD to be removed.  At least maybe we'll get a VERY good reason why that functionality that wasn't broke was remove.  If/when I do get something I'll share here.

Summer of Solutions | Week 4 Results | Winners will be posted on July 24th

We are excited to announce the Summer of Solutions Challenge!   This challenge is kicking off on Monday, June 17th and will run for (4) weeks.  The challenge is open to all Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Copilot Studio & Power Pages) community members. We invite you to participate in a quest to provide solutions in the Forums to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.    Entry Period: This Challenge will consist of four weekly Entry Periods as follows (each an “Entry Period”)   - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 17, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 23, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on June 24, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on June 30, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 1, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 7, 2024 - 12:00 a.m. PT on July 8, 2024 – 11:59 p.m. PT on July 14, 2024   Entries will be eligible for the Entry Period in which they are received and will not carryover to subsequent weekly entry periods.  You must enter into each weekly Entry Period separately.   How to Enter: We invite you to participate in a quest to provide "Accepted Solutions" to as many questions as you can. Answers can be provided in all the communities.
