Have a Button run a flow connected with a Sharepoint list ID

For my Sharepoint list form I want that when you press a button it starts a flow that starts an approval request for that item. Problem is, I'm having trouble configuring the Flow so that it knows that it has to send it in that Selected Item and that way I can configure the Flow with the necessary ID.

Okay, so in Power Automate, go up to the V2 Power Apps trigger, click Add an Input and choose text. Then give it a name (such as ID), and leave everything else as it is. Then you can use that name in Power Automate to tell whatever steps you need what ID you're trying to update.

Then you return to PowerApps and locate the run code, on the OnSelect of your button. Then you can expand the run code to include passing over the ID variable by using PruebaPowerApp.Run(Selected.ID), which should hopefully work, if not you can try PruebaPowerApp.Run(SelectedListItemID). 

Does that all make sense? That should pass over your ID variable into Power Automate and allow that to work from there 😀

@Sickle-Cell  Ok so i have it like that but don't know if I'm still lacking stuff.

My flow is like this, in the Text (aA) part you sure I don't have to add more?

The "Consulta de filtro" where I added the dynamic content variable stands for Filter Query

And on PowerApps I tried both Selected.ID and SelectedListItemID to be between the parenthesis as you sugestedd and both options create the error that it does not recognise "Selected" or "SelectedListItemID", unvalid names.

Hi @WorkingRicardo,

If you're using the ID to pull the rest of the information over, then the ID will be fine. If you're updating information uploaded through PowerApps then you'll need that info too. If it's less than 20 fields, you can pass them over one at a time and it's really easy to work with, if not you'll need to put the data into a collection or concatenate it into a text string and split it at PowerApps.

Let's focus on the ID for now then. If Selected.ID isn't working, you could use a Lookup to find the relevant ID if any assortment of the fields are unique. If not, are you bringing over the existing ID number when you're editing these records in PowerApps? If not, add an additional field to your form to handle the ID number, but leave it hidden. That'll allow you to pull it through into the Run code.

You can do this by going to the Edit Fields button under the data source on your edit form, then clicking Add Fields and adding in the ID field from there. After that, you can change the run code to PruebaPowerApp.Run(IDDataCardName.Value).

Ok! I think i got what you mean, so I added the ID field to my App, and then i mapped it to my RUN command of the flow, this way: 

PruebaPowerApps.Run(DataCardValue17.Text)

Unfortunately, this produces an error: "Unvalid number of arguments, 1 was received and 0 were expected". Of course, if I erase the "DataCardValue17.Text", no error. 

DataCardValue17.Text of course shows what ID I'm in at the moment. Feels so close to the solution but so far T_T

I just want to drop my issue and solution.

In the canvas maker it gave me "blank" as out come. 
But the sharepointintegration kept reffering to an old record that was already processed. 
So when i saved my flow and application and published it it was actually working with the actual records.
