Hello - I have an event app where I want to patch filtered gallery items with a toggle value of "Yes" or true. The gallery consists of names, emails, statuses (registered or waitlisted) and a toggle (Toggle1) for yes/no for each item in the gallery.
The items property of the gallery is filtered from a search bar and two dropdown - one by event name and one by status. It is nested If statement so the visuals can interact to filter the gallery.
What I want to do is offer the ability to select an event, click the toggle for every item in the gallery and then check a submit button to update the SP list Yes/No column "AttendedEvent" to Yes.
I first attempted using Patch function from this blog: PATCH Multiple Records In Power Apps 10x Faster - Matthew Devaney However, even when using filter and lookup, it would still patch all (2k+ records), and mark all of the records as "AttendedEvent" as "Yes"
When that didn't work I tried using a flow in the OnSelect of the submit button, but the code below is not passing any data to my variables in the Ask in Power Apps part of the flow.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @kky1 ,
Since you are using a collection that collected from the actual list, there will be a unique ID column, which will be most helpful to you to get the specific item using LookUp function. No need to use such complicated criteria:
ForAll(Gallery.AllItems As GA, Patch(EppicRegistration, LookUp(EppicRegistration, ID = GA.ID), {AttendedEvent: GA.Toggle.Value}))

Hi @kky1 ,
Since you would like to update SP list items based on the filtered Gallery and toggles within it, and Items of the Gallery is a Collection, it is a bulk patch list based on collection scenario. So, you need a reversed logic of Patch:
ForAll(Gallery.AllItems As GA, Patch(EppicRegistration, LookUp(EppicRegistration, WorkshopName = GA.WorkshopNameField && WorkshopID = GA.WorkshopIDField && 'PSU Email' = GA.PSUEmailField), {AttendedEvent: GA.Toggle.Value}))

Thanks so much @v-jefferni ! It never ceases to amaze me how quickly super users like yourself can offer the correct answer!
When I run my code using only myself as a test, I noticed it didn't update in my SP list. There's no errors - just nothing happens, but I'm pretty sure it's because the list ID for my test is #2333 so is larger than the limit for delegation. Is there a way I can get around that?
Thank you again for your help so far!!
Hi @kky1 ,
I don't understand why you use the collection as data source for Patch. It should be the list because the Items of Gallery is the collection. The logic is use LookUp with three criteria to find and patch respective items of the list based on each line of Gallery items. I didn't use any non-delegable functions or columns in my formula, so delegation should not be an issue.

Thank you for explaining this @v-jefferni! 90% of getting it right is understanding why it's not working so I appreciate your reply!
I had thought it was delegation because I was getting a delegation warning (below is a snippet) which is why I thought I needed to use a collection to work around that.
I tested this with just my name in the filtered gallery. All other records are AttendedEvent "No" and mine is the only "Yes" But after clicking my button, there is no change to my AttendedEvent status in the SP list.
The column in SP is a Yes/No field with the default value of No.
Hi @kky1 ,
For conditions within the LookUp function, you need to make sure they are correct on Column names of your list and items of the Gallery. Are columns all the same in the collection as the list? What is the column type of Workshop Name in the list?

Thank you @v-jefferni for your patience to help me, especially in understanding what I'm doing wrong to cause this issue. I've added more screenshots to clarify the data sources for both the SP list and my gallery.
The column type of WorkshopName in the SP list is multiple lines of text and it's "field_7" in the list settings:
PSU Email is "field_3" and is single line of text:
And WorkshopID in the SP list if "Title"-single line of text
But when I change to the actual SP column names and/or collection names, I still see this delegation warning.
The gallery data source is a collection that is gathered from the SP list (EPPICRegistrations) of all registrants in the OnVisible property of the screen - it's done in chunks (colTrack# 1-11) because the SP list has over 2K records.
Screenshots gathering collection colAllWaitlists from SP list:
Items property of gallery filters collection (colAllWaitlists) based on 2 dropdown values and search bar:
Actual Collection colAllWaitlists:
Actual label in the gallery though knows the field names as 'First Name' and 'Last Name' (instead of field_1 and field_2 as I see in the collection) and 'PSU Email" instead of field_3, etc. so I'm not sure which is considered to be the true name in my gallery.
Hi @kky1 ,
Since you are using a collection that collected from the actual list, there will be a unique ID column, which will be most helpful to you to get the specific item using LookUp function. No need to use such complicated criteria:
ForAll(Gallery.AllItems As GA, Patch(EppicRegistration, LookUp(EppicRegistration, ID = GA.ID), {AttendedEvent: GA.Toggle.Value}))
