Hi:
Trying to get an embedded link in a power app.
In the APP OnStart we have the following:
Set(varItemID,Value(Param("itemID")))
Then in the web app string that we attached to the submit button we replaced tennatID with an X here is the email routine attached to the subnit button.
SubmitForm(Form1);
Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2(
varUserEmail,
"Maintenance Request ",
"LINK: " & "https://apps.powerapps.com/play/e/default-2953b9f0-17c5-4ceb-9261-c9a954f79e8a/a/bd3e4591-3932-4e8e-..."& ITEMID.Text
);
Then in the form we have for ITEMS:
If(!IsBlank(varAccountVal),Gallery2.Selected,!IsBlank(varItemID),LookUp(MaintenanceV6,ID=varItemID))
The link takes us to that page but we get NOT FOUND for the lookup.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Best Regards
Chuck

Hi @chtraywick ,
You need to add the parameter to the URL - I have also embedded the link inside a "click here" text function
Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2(
varUserEmail,
"Maintenance Request ",
"LINK: <a href='https://apps.powerapps.com/play/e/default-2953b9f0-17c5-4ceb-9261-c9a954f79e8a/a/bd3e4591-3932-4e8e-...&itemid=" & ITEMID.Text & "'> click here</a>"
);

Assuming you can see the relevant ID at the end of the generated URL, there is nothing fundamentally wrong with your code. I am not sure this will help, but I do the following on all deep-linked URLs (there is also a broader reason I do this) - App OnStart
If(
!IsBlank(Param("itemid")),
Set(
gblRecord,
LookUp(
MaintenanceV6,
ID = Value(Param("itemid"))
)
)
)
OnSelect of the Gallery
Set(
gblRecord,
ThisItem
)
Item of the Form
LookUp(
MaintenanceV6,
gblRecord.ID
)
Also OnSuccess of the Form
Set(
gblRecord,
Self.LastSubmit
)
This way, you constantly have all fields available for the current record as simply
gblRecord.FieldName
I can assure you if you pass the correct ID, this will work.

That makes sense that some of the data is not available. Thank you for your help.
Last thing: Noticed that the time (sequence) of when you execute the submit on the form is critical for building out the link. So, the link it built inserting the lookup value in the href BEFORE we submit the form. It works.

Hi:
That passes ITEMID in the URL, now working on the way to do the lookup so that it loads up the correct record.
Thank you for your help and support.

Seem to be having an issue referencing the parameter once the form loads.
The URL is correct can see the string at the end now (thank you)
Office365Outlook.SendEmailV2(
varUserEmail,
"Maintenance Request ",
"LINK: <a href = 'https://apps.powerapps.com/play/e/default-2953b9f0-17c5-4ceb-9261-c9a954f79e8a/a/bd3e4591-3932-4e8e-..." & ITEMID.Text & "'> click here</a>"
);
In OnStart we have:
Set(varThisItemID, Value(Param("itemid")));
On the form1 Items we have
If(!IsBlank(varThisItemID), LookUp(MaintenanceV6,ID=varThisItemID),Gallery2.Selected)
When we click the link in the email, goes to the correct screen (FormScreen1) but shows NOT FOUND above the form control and does not return data.
Any help would be appreciated

Had to add a post back to refresh the screen and it works. Thank you again.
