How to Clear & Reset Input Fields Value While Navigating to another Screen for a New Record.

Good Day!

I have created an app for Leave Request.
There are two screens:
(1) Leave Requests
(2) New/Edit Record

In the Leave Requests Screen I am using a Gallery for the requests list . And also I have a Add & Edit Button.
In the New/Edit Record , I am not using a form. Instead I'm using a different controls such as Labels, text inputs, date picker etc. And then I used a Patch function to save the input details. I don't have any problem with saving.

But my concern is during "Edit". Upon clicking the Edit button from leave Requests Screen, It will navigate to New/Edit Record which is right but the fields still have the details from the previous inputs.

1. How can I clear & reset the the previous record details (selected Leave Type, text input for notes, & Labels for remaining balances of the selected Leave Type)?

2. Do I have to create a separate screen for EDIT? since currently I am using the same screen for ADD & EDIT record. And it happen that when I created a new record it overrides the previous added record.

I have tried setting a variable in reset & clear property of the text input for notes  and set it to true in the Add button from my Leave Request screen but it doesn't work.

Are you using a collection or ClearCollect when patching?, if that the case just add clear the collection at end of the patch,
or tells more about what code are you using to submit the data

It doesn't work Sir. When I create a new record & save , it override the previous existing record.

No I'm not using a Form

You can make it same screen edit / new but as you're not using a form  and it will create lot a work for you so its easy to create another screen for new record
