How to add a new attachment to existing uploaded attachment to a SharePoint List Item

Hi Experts,

I am building this app on where we need to add additional attachments to each SharePoint list items afterwards, I can upload the intitial attachments thru Patch command on the form, but having hard time figuring out how to add additional attachment afterwards. The screen below shows a specific SharePoint list item entry pulled out from a gallery by using "GalleryXX.Selected" command, so users can see the exact entry, but I cannot find a way for them to add additional attachments in it.

Hi @Champ14 ,

That is because there are only two ways (in Power Apps) of uploading attachments both involving an Attachment control - one is to simply submit the Form and the other is to Patch(FormName.Updates). Other than that you would need to use Power Automate and send the name, content with JSON/Base64 conversion and ID of the record to the Flow.

The first bit is in this video from Shane Young - how to send the attachment control content to the Flow. Also send the ID of the record and the name of the file use Add Attachment to attach it.

Thanks @WarrenBelz , I follow thru the video and successfully upload the document but unable to attached it to the currently selected items from the gallery, I'm not sure what command should I use to pass the List ID from the selected item from the gallery to the flow I created. 

From the button this is what I have

You need to send the file content (as per the video) as well as the file name and the ID of the item you want to attach the item to. What does your Flow look like now and what code are you using to upload the file ?

Yes, it is included in the button, just thought not include it as I only need the command to pass the selected list ID to power automate (Flow)
