How to automatically get longitude and latitude when submitting a form?

So, I have a form with a submit button at the end. What I want is when a person submits it, it captures their longitude and latitude and stores it in the SharePoint list (called "Customer Information") I have it connected to (in columns labeled longitude and latitude). Is there code to implement this into my button to automatically send that data to the SharePoint list?

I completely understand your requirement as I've had similar instances in the past. My approach has typically been to display the Latitude and Longitude directly in the form, and then I usually insert the respective formulas into those fields. After this, I hide these cards so they aren't visible on the form, but they still capture the necessary coordinates each time a form is submitted.

It's important to be aware that capturing Latitude and Longitude on PCs can potentially cause some issues. Thus, it's generally safer and more reliable to capture this information from mobile devices.

Also, you might notice a significant difference between Android and Apple devices. For example, Apple tends to provide one more decimal place which allows for more accurate results.

I see what you mean, but I am still having trouble. What properties should I change to get this effect, right now I am changing "default" to location.longitude and latitude respectfully. What else do I have to change, and what code do i need to put in?

Hi @Anonymous 

It can sometimes take a while for a device to register the longitude and latitude (which can explain empty values). Therefore, you might consider retrieving the values in the OnVisible property of the form like so.

Set(varLat,Location.Latitude);
Set(varLong,Location.Longitude)

 You would then set the Update property of the Latitude and Logitude cards on your form to varLat and varLong respectively.

Oh really? I haven't that empty problem every... But could the empty value also possible in the variable? 

OK in this case is the variable the step between.
