How to do i get the HTML viewer with a checkbox to get data from yes no field of a sharepoint list for report genertating

Hello everyone,

Im sooooo close to being able to being able to generate a "report" from a inspection checklist i have created. One of the final pieces to be able to do this is this.-

To create this report I'm using HTML viewer and pulling data from a sharepoint list that has been updated when the user completes the checklist. I have created a Table to display this data (see picture attached) I have with the question being asked, a checkbox and a notes section. I have the questions displaying using LookUp(Questions,ID = 1).Title. same for notes.  I have tried to do the same for the checkbox but with no success, The column that contains the checkbox in the sharepoint list is set to Yes/No .

Does anyone know how i can can get the HTML code to look at a that certain field and apply it to the checkbox and display a tick if it was selected during the inspection?

Any help would be really appreciated,

Thanks,

Rob

<td><label class='checkbox-label'><input type='checkbox'> </label></td>

Change this
<input type='checkbox'>

to
"<input type='checkbox'" & If(LookUp(Questions, ID = 1).Complete, " checked='checked' ") & "></label></td>"

That is how I would build THAT specific line. I have no idea how you are building your lines, but that is what you need.

Hi,

I am sorry, I do not understand what you are trying to do. Can you explain just the checkbox (leave the other fields out) and how it relates to the list and the report, please

Are you trying to get the value of the checkbox (check or unchecked) from the SharePoint list, so it shows checked or not in the Table?

Cheers

Hi @FLMike

That's exactly what I'm trying to do. You got it pretty much spot on,  I want do get the value of the checkbox (check or unchecked) from the SharePoint list, so it shows checked or not in the Table with in the HTML viewer.

Thanks,

Rob

<td><label class='checkbox-label'><input type= 'checkbox'> </label></td>
<td><textarea placeholder=''> "& LookUp(Questions,ID = 1).Notes & "</textarea></td>

But yes any help with this would be amazin

thanks,

Rob

Hi @FLMike

Just wondering if you had any thoughts on this? I was trying

"<input type='checkbox' id='myCheckbox' " & If(YourSharePointList.Selected.YesNoColumn, "checked", "") & " />" & "<label for='myCheckbox'>Checkbox</label>"

That i found online but i cant seem to figure this out.

Thanks,

Rob

 Hi @Theatreguy

Sorry for the long long delay. I was curious though why use the HTML Text control to build the report?

Anyway the answer is

"checked='checked'"

not just checked

Hi @FLMike

Thanks for answer. I'm still struggling to implement this solution.

This is the HTML code im using for the table

<td>" & LookUp(Questions,ID = 2).Title & "</td>
<td><label class='checkbox-label'><input type='checkbox'> </label></td>
<td><textarea placeholder="& LookUp(Questions,ID = 2).Notes & "></textarea></td>

Where about would i add the code to make this work and how would it look?

The the sharepoint list is called questions, the ID is 1 and the checkbox column is called Complete.

Thanks again for all your help so far
