How to filter gallery based on combobox without delegation warning

Hello,

I have combobox with multiple selection and I would like to filter gallery based on selected items but currently it gives me delegation warning due to "in" operator:

Filter('data', Status in ComboBox4.SelectedItems)

Is there better way to write this that would not result in delegation warning? Data is SharePoint list and combobox has 4 items (Status1, Status2...)

Thank you zmansuri, I have watched the video. It is very informative but I don't think I will go with this solution. It is quiet different from just filtering the gallery. I think I will try to change the combobox to check-boxes maybe and use if/or combination when filtering. Will see if that will work better.

Hi KennyJ, "=" works well only if filer is based on one item, if it is multi-select combobox where you can select several items at the same time it is not working as only last selected item would be shown. I though maybe there is some clever way to write the formula to go around the "in" issue but maybe there is not.

Sorry I missed it was a multi-choice.   I haven’t tried and not at my computer, but could you split the values that are selected and then use the OR function?

I was thinking something like that, I can split the values into check boxes and do something like this:

If(Checkbox1.Value = true, Status.Value="Status1") || If(Checkbox2.Value = true, Status.Value="Status2")...

 Hope this will work. I liked having the Combobox over the checkboxes though 🙂

NOTE: CountRows and With() are themselves limited by Delegation, but the top filter is Delegable, so as long as it returns under your limit, then the count of the bottom filter will work fully.
