How to remove blue line - canvas app datatable (between heading and data)

Hi!

I really need help with this. I have added datatables on one screen in Canvas app in order to for the user to add documents ect to each case. The table looks like a normal word table once inserted. Have set border to 0 and selected no border. I addition I have changes all colors in order for the table to look just like a list.

I cant seem to figure out how to remove or change the blue line separating the title & ID against the actual data added. This is here automatically. I have search the big internet, and I only found one other question about this, and this was a gallery which I am not using.

I hope someone can help!

Thank you very much.

Hi @sandy7

I had a quick look there and it isn't possible to remove this.

The other option you have is to just use a gallery, which will enable whatever styling you need.

There is also the newer table control under modern controls, which doesn't have this line, but it does have default faint grey horizontal lines dividing all rows.

Hope this helps

Hi,

Ok. But thank you so much for the help. I havent used galleries that much. is it simple to switch and use the patch that i have for the datatable in the gallery in stead? Because the user will have one screen where they will enter data to the table ( title and ID). and on another screen later on they will view the same data in connection to other data entered.

Yeah, a Gallery can do everything and more than its data table counterpart. If you can share a bit more about your current set up with screen shots, I can try to give you some pointers

The idea is that users will use the app instead of using word ect before sending a document for approval/ quality check ect.

On one of the screens they add references  ( this is a lookup towards the main table).

On another screen they can view the same data and send for a quality check together with all the input in the app

On the last screen its summarized in something that looks like a letter and connected to a pdf view ( i will set up a flow to the pdf)

Referances is added in one screen an viewed in the other sceens. I have used a datatable but are now realizing the limitations here.

My problem is; I cant remove the blue lines in top of the datatable. In additon to this there is another problem with using datatables, I cant adjust hight automatically. This is needed because sometimes the user will enter a lot of data.

For screen 1 where they enter the references they add data in a textinput field that is connected to a button. clicking the button ( add references) enables the users to view all references added in the same screen ( take a look at the photo)

screen1.PNG

After they have entered all the references they click the next button. The next button has a patch on onselect

patch1.PNGpatch2.PNG ( the patch is not finished yet as you can see, but you get the idea)

Thereafter the will eventually after adding more data on other screens come to a screen for quality check. Here they will view all data entered in the app ( also references)

view.PNG

After it has had a quality check it is sent to the approval page. Here the users view something that looks like a word document. They push the pdf button and the document is ready in pdf. The reference is also here, but again in a datatable and it is not working very well.

I have tried to use a gallery, but I cant seem to wrap my head around how they work. The rest of my app is based on text input fields in datacards so everything is coded manually and not in galleries or forms.

Thank you for taking the time to help me!

This is some pointers on the use of a gallery, with details nested inside an example flexible height Gallery. Note the green fill is just to help illustrate how the flexible height Gallery auto configures the rows based on content height.

Hope this all makes sense
