How to send a email with user info and an attachment file uploaded by the user from a power pages forms through power automate

Hi,

I am new to power apps.

The project I am trying to do is create a power pages allow user to enter their info and upload file(s), the info and the file(s) will send to outlook mail by power automate. The user info is stored in table user, and the file is set to stored in note/annotation table as instructed in the MS documents and some answers here.

My question is, in power automate, when the flow is triggered by new row added in table user, how to find and send the file(s) to a outlook mail.

Thanks alot.

Hi @Alexun ,

Let’s break down the steps to achieve your goal of sending user information and uploaded files via Power Automate when a new row is added to the “user” table:

  1. Trigger: Set up a Power Automate flow triggered by the creation of a new row in the “user” table.

  2. Retrieve User Info:

    • Use the “Get a row” action to retrieve the user information from the “user” table based on the unique identifier (e.g., user ID or email).
    • Extract relevant fields such as name, email, and any other necessary details.
  3. Retrieve Uploaded Files:

    • If the uploaded files are stored in the “note/annotation” table, use the “List records” action to retrieve all related records (files) associated with the user.
    • Filter the records based on the user’s unique identifier (e.g., user ID or email).
  4. Create Email Body:

    • Compose the email body using the retrieved user information and any additional context you want to include.
    • You can format the email body using HTML or plain text, depending on your preference.
  5. Attach Files:

    • For each retrieved file, use the “Add an attachment” action to attach it to the email.
    • Iterate through the list of files and add them as attachments.
  6. Send Email:

    • Use the “Send an email” action to send the email.
    • Set the recipient (Outlook email address), subject, and body (including user information).
    • Attach the files to the email.
  7. Testing and Validation:

    • Test the flow by adding a new row to the “user” table and verify that the email is sent with the correct user information and attached files.

Remember to adjust the field names, table names, and other specifics based on your actual data model. Additionally, ensure that the necessary permissions are set for accessing the tables and sending emails.

Feel free to ask if you need further assistance or have any specific questions!
