Impossible to display images in my app with Chrome (latest version)

we have built an app which displays screenshots (images). For some users, we are able to view the images with Edge and Chrome, for some users it is greyed. Do you know why?

Note : we have already cleared the cache and cookies, but still these users cannot view the images

Are you able to identify whether it's a user issue or a device issue?

Like testing first on multiple types of devices of the same user - to test on whether it's a device issue

Have multiple users try on a working device to test if it's a user problem. 

It might also be a file type issue, what is the file type of your screenshot images?

yes we have tested with different users, with their own laptop.

it is a browser issue. we have tested with 3 users and they have the same issue

the file type is JPG.

By the way, are you accessing the app directly, or you have embedded it?

I had a case before where my client was trying to embed power apps in Sharepoint however, one of the employees was using a Mac and they were not able to access the file. the cause of that was due to Safari security.

If it's not the case above, have you tried rendering various types of images? How are the images stored? how are you rendering it?

I have done some investigation in the Chrome browser and have identified the root cause which causes the images not being displayed.

1. The galleries displaying the pictures, image control is set to the property called “AbsoluteURI” which returns the full path of the image: “https://xxx.sharepoint.com/sites/hq-Power-Apps-and-Power-Automate-commun/Lists/Catalog%20items/Attac...

2. The Powerapps when loading these images is initiated from the site: https://pa-static-ms.azureedge.net 3. Both Chrome and Firefox consider this as “strict-origin-when-cross-origin” and does not allow any cookies to be used and therefore fails the authentication and cannot display the image.

Solution: 1. Update Powerapps image controls source to use the property called “Value” in stead of “AbsoluteURI” 2. This causes the Powerapp to retrieve the data from the same source as the request being “https://pa-static-ms.azureedge.net” and uses the blob method. As this is the same origin site the same authentication is applied and resolves the issue.
