Increment a sharepoint list column value by a user inputed value in a text input field

I have an app that is used to track spare parts- Location, value, and QTY among other data points.

We have multiple users that need to be able to decrement the QTY field for material consumption and increment for stocking.

Currently, I have a Gallery that navigates to a separate page with a form set to view the item selected in the gallery. On this page is also a Text Input set to Number format, and + & - buttons coded to respectively increment/decrement quantity by the value that is entered to the text input via a patch, update the data source, and clear the text input field- the increment code is below. Decrement code is identical except for the obvious.

This works perfectly for me and updates the form nearly immediately when I test it. However, when my test users attempt, it takes multiple presses to submit and frequently the viewing form does not update the QTY data card correctly.  I was thinking this is a permissions issue for the app or for the sharepoint list, however my app is open to all in my organization, and the sharepoint list is editable by everyone in a specific group, which my test users are in. I have also tried adding those specific users independently with edit permissions. Additionally, the "Modified By" and "Modified Date/Time" fields are updating when they submit, but the QTY is not updating in either the sharepoint list or the viewing form, and I am at a loss as to what is going wrong on this one.

Your issue maybe to do with concurrent users, but you could try this approach first before trying to sort that.

From your gallery screen add this to your OnSelect code:

Set( currentRecordID, ThisItem.ID); [ ... your current navigate code here ... ]

Then change your Increment / Decrement code to

Set(
    currentRecord1,
    LookUp(
        'B1 Parts List',
        ID = currentRecordID
    )
);
Patch(
    'B1 Parts List',
    currentRecord1,
    {Quantity: currentRecord1.Quantity + IncrementalValue}
);
Refresh('B1 Parts List');
Reset(IncrementalValue)

If quantities still aren't getting updated correctly then you may need to look at locking the record when a user selects a gallery item?

With the suggested code it works, but it was working for me before also.  I don't have test users online until tomorrow, but I imagine it will be the same case for them. I'll check back in tomorrow with an update.

@Eddie 4 out of my 10 test users have reported success, and were testing concurrently. Looks like this was what I needed! I'll have more input later, but it seems to be working perfectly.
