Hello everyone,
I have the following issue. I created a database on a SharePoint list named 'licenses' where information about the licenses owned by each employee is stored (such as Office licenses, Miro licenses, etc.). I used a Yes/No field in it (see screenshot below).
In Inventory APP when I enter an email in the search bar, it finds the user. Upon clicking on them, a list of licenses they possess appears (see screenshot below).
Now, I would like to make it that when I click on the name of a license (e.g., Miro), a list of users who have that license (Miro - True) appears, and similarly for each other license listed on that card.
I don't know if it's possible 🙂
Please help me.

My bad! Sorry, I put the wrong syntax on the CountRows. Try this:
Concatenate("ExchangeOnlinePlan2 (",CountRows(Filter(Licences,ExchangeOnlinePlan2 = true))," used)")
Because I didn't include the Filter() action it didn't know what to do with the 'ExchangeOnlinePlan2 = true' part of the formula.
Pretty much the same again @Piotrexpondo 😀
In the OnSelect, set a global variable and navigate to a separate page:
Set(_licenceType,Self.Text);
Navigate('Licence Type Screen');
Then set the gallery data on that page to be
Filter(Licences,'Licence Type' = _licenceType)
Hello Again 🙂
I apologize, but I'm quite new to Power Apps, and I believe my knowledge is insufficient to understand it quickly.
Could you please tell me where exactly I should enter this?
I'm sending you screenshots so you can see exactly what settings I have.
I want to click on the license name in screen number 2 to see how many users have that license.
Oh it's a form! I kind of assumed it was a gallery. That's slightly more laborious coding but it can be done. In fact, if you just want a count you could do that in the same screen like this:
Set the 'Text' property of DataCardKey32 to
Concatenate("ExchangeOnlinePlan2 (",CountRows(Licences,ExchangeOnlinePlan2 = true)," used)")
That should show something like
ExchangeOnlinePlan2 (26 used)
for example.
Repeat with different text for each label.
Hello,
Unfortunately, I cannot select ExchangeOnlinePlan 2. And When I select This Item.ExchangeOnlinePlan2, I get an error.
My bad! Sorry, I put the wrong syntax on the CountRows. Try this:
Concatenate("ExchangeOnlinePlan2 (",CountRows(Filter(Licences,ExchangeOnlinePlan2 = true))," used)")
Because I didn't include the Filter() action it didn't know what to do with the 'ExchangeOnlinePlan2 = true' part of the formula.
Thanks a lot it works :))
Can I ask something else in this topic? 🙂 or should I start a new question?
I wanted to use the Search Box after entering, for example, the word "Adobe" to display a list of users who have Adobe true.
It works for emails but not for licenses. Where am I making a mistake?
Would you mind clicking the 'Accept as Solution' button? Just gives me the credit on here.
On the other question - strictly I think it should be a new question but it's Friday... That formula definitely won't work. The problem here is that you are filtering with "Adobe" which is part of the field name, not a filterable value. It's a bit late now, but I probably wouldn't have had a dedicated field for each licence type. Anyway, we are where we are.
I think the only way you could do it in your current model would be a combo-box with each possible search option. So in App.OnStart put something like
ClearCollect(
filterTerms,
{id: 1, name: "Adobe"},
{id: 2, name: "Microsoft 365 Business Premium},
....
)
Then make filterTerms the data source for the combo box. In the OnChange property of the combo box, put
UpdateContext({searchID: Self.Selected.id})
and then lastly, in the gallery data source, something like
Switch(
searchID,
1,
Filter('Expondo employees', Adobe = true),
2,
Filter('Expondo employees', Microsoft365BusinessPremium = true),
...
)
That will then dynamically switch the data filter according to what you've selected in the combo box. I don't think free text searching will work at all because it's against the column name rather than a value.
Thank you very much for your help 🙂 If I can't deal with it, I will write another post on Monday. Have a nice weekend !
